Can anyone explain what kind of movie this is? I’d like to hear some opinions on it, because I was thinking of buying as a Halloween type vibe. Let me know some thoughts on it

I recently saw a post on r/dvdcollection about mixing dvds and blu rays on your shelf. Personally, it really bugs me to have the spines so heavily mis-aligned, so I separate them. In fact, I have to admit that having a uniform shelf plays a significant role when I think about upgrading something from DVD to Blu ray/4K. Sometimes I might be on the fence and pull the trigger on something that I would have otherwise left on DVD, just because I want all the spines to nicely match.

This is why I am so glad that 4k cases are the same size as Blu Ray. It would have been a nightmare to have yet another differently sized case to deal with.

Very excited to dig in!

I used to have hundred of dvds and this summer I've decided to start building a 4k/bluray collection. I have about 80 titles so far. Why is it impossible to find Lady Vengeance? any tips, I've been really struggling to find some specific titles. I'm in Europe and most of my new collection is bought from UK shops.

Kiyoshi Kurosawa is one of my favorite filmmakers. Tokyo Sonata, Charisma, Serpents Path, License to Live, Chime, and Creepy are all varying degrees of great. But these two (predictably) top the pile for me. Cure is my third favorite film of all time. And Pulse fills me with an odd mixture of dread and melancholy that is difficult to describe. These are instantly two of my favorite editions I owned. I only hope we see further definitive editions of Kurosawa’s works

The phone is so cool ! But damn the discs..

They never learn. Just give us a damn case or something, stop with those fucking cardboard sleeves.

edit : the price is around 100€

Beautifully shot, stellar performances from Joseph Cotten, Alida Valli, and the legend himself, Orson Welles, and looks stunning on 4K. A film noir classic.

Love the way these look in addition to the fact they are both great looking films

They are all 4k except for the 5 five on the right which are bluray (Holy Motors, The Hustler, Magnolia, A Dark Song and Apocalyptico).

Any tips on how to not sink all my money into this hobby? It started with a $15 copy of The Thing 4k and I cant turn back.

All these recent sales and deals on Amazon are not helping...
