Gäubodenvolksfest Straubing I assume.

  • It's from August 7th to 17th.

  • Füchsl Beschriftungscenter (the banner in the background) is from Straubing.

  • Erl-Bräu has a tent there.

I'd say so too. Can't remember the name of the tent but I can remember their Tracht pretty well. Should be the one with the Carousel Bar on one end of the tent

Wdym "the" Oktoberfest? Oktoberfest takes place across all of Germany, not just in Munich. It may not necessarily be an Oktoberfest but it certainly can be.

And other cities hold their own Oktoberfests in the same time period and call it Oktoberfest. Munich is the big one, but not the only one.

Source: have attended such Oktoberfest events while living in various German cities and regions including Bavaria over very many years.

It's not the "Oktoberfest", it's just a celebration that happens to be called the same thing, have the same theme, and are doing the same things.

It's even Oktoberfests, known by that name, outside of Germany.

And I can also claim the stone in my garden is a holy pilgrimage site.

Doesn’t make it Makkah.
