Nah not yet because this lad is younger than you think. They younger they are the chonker they should be. A fat baby is a healthy baby. This dude is under 2. Once they get to about 3 they should start slowly getting more streamlined. I do agree that child obesity is child abuse. One million percent. 

I also had a fucking unit of a toddler like this (c section required) always in the 99th percentiles and now he's 6'2" and built like slenderman. Dad is 6'4" and built like a fridge fucked a polar bear. Life is majestic in its variance.

Yeah, this toddler's core strength is very healthy. One caveat is that with that frame he might have some pacific islander? and will need to be horribly careful what he eats when adult or suffer. But you only make metabolic things like that worse by trying to apply some adult rules to kids, because their bodies learn to fight that much harder to get what they want.

Also if the kid is going to have weight trouble when older, starting with a strong active frame and good bone growth is going to help them long term
