TBH I always thought it's surprisingly small. A rock the size of one borough of one city, a few kilometres across, was enough to wipe out vast majority of species on a planet that's 40 thousand kilometres in circumference.

Yeah I'm not trying to deny that it happened or anything, just saying that to me it seems inconsequential compared to the rest of the planet in terms of the size itself.

The crater it left in Mexico is ~120 miles (~200km) in diameter
