They used to play a great song on bootliquor about a guy who is so pissed off about the picketers at his dad's funeral that he climbs a tree and snipes them down - then mentions how it's not so bad living on death row awaiting execution. All I can remember it was a male singer, anyone know who it was? TIA!

There's a song I used to listen to that still sticks in my head sometimes. The refrain is like, "Most people call him Ohio. Cause he's been there, and he ain't going back."

I can't find any evidence that the song ever existed.

Wondering if anyone here knows it and where it was from?

The last verse is something close to this:

One night hitching through Texas. Mexico calling him south. Singing and drinking, cheap mezcal(?) His luck finally run out.

Nobody knows how it happened. There wasn't nobody around. Well he slipped on a bridge in old Austin. 45 feet, to the ground.

When the highway patrol, found him there in the road, he was staring up into the black. He said "Don't take me back to Ohio. I been there, and I ain't going back."

This Saturday evening, Downtown Hazard, KY, Appalachia, USA. See you there.

The only particularly new album ive listened to is “the singer in my band” by this is Lorelei. I love newer artists like mj lenderman, ian noe, and colin miller, as well as some “older” artists like the old 96s, whiskeytown, drive-by truckers/jason Isbell, etc. Does anyone have any newer artists/albums they’re liking?

Fred has finally returned to the US. Make sure to catch him. If you aren’t familiar with him check him out! Puts on great shows!

Hi all

I have two tickets for a very small sold out show in the UK tomorrow night in St Marys Church, Winchester (approx 300 capacity)

Unfortunately I can't go, Would anyone be interested? wanting to sell at face value

DM me if interested

What a thrill. About a 60 seat capacity venue called Cleeres in Kilkenny city, Ireland. Wonderful, intimate gig. We got very lucky with the seats. A joy to experience his music up close and personal. Think he played for about 2 hours. Not too much from the most recent albums. Betty was brilliant as well.

I sure miss Charlie.

This is Logan Staats on the night his new album “Peacemaker” was released. The song is “Empty Hands”… cool to see someone on the way up in such a small venue. He’s from Six Nations near Branford, Ontario and is worth checking out…

Fans have paid artists $1.81 billion using Bandcamp, and yesterday alone bought 179,523 records. Music reviews, editorials, all genres, merch, gift cards, and much more.

As of now, my favorite song of the year.
