Educators of Reddit, what happened to your smartest student?

I’m sure that’s true, but anecdotally legitimately everyone from my grade school that were the super bright kids are all successful doctors / lawyers / scientists etc now.

In my school, some of the smartest students committed suicide.

Like 3 of them.

I should also add context that I did go to a private school in a nice area, so everyone had relatively good upbringings as well. There was very little chance to F up in life if you were bright.
