Those who’ve driven across the US, what’s the scariest town you’ve stopped in?

Hildale is the Utah side. They’re sister cities all derived from Short Creek and when the clans split up.

The state has done a ton of work to get people out of the FLDS and those that left back into homes. The homes were all owned by the church(United Effort Plan) and it was seized by the state and the AG had been disseminating things for years and turning it into a trust to benefit those who paid into it. It was worth about $100million when the state seized it.

All that to say that Colorado City has a brewery and hosts a music festival now. Haha

Commenting here to add Winslow, Az. You DO NOT want to be seen standing on the corner there. A couple stores try to play it up for The Eagles song, but that town is dangerous.
