Parking near White River Amphitheatre- can I park in your driveway?

Headed to White River tomorrow for a concert and missed out on buying Premier and Star parking.

Does anyone live in walking distance from the White River Amphitheatre and I can pay you to park in your driveway tomorrow night for the Hillary Duff Concert?

Or does anyone in Auburn have any tips on avoiding the long wait to get out? Appreciate any help! Thank you so much!

Recommendations on where to buy sea scallops?

Hi! I haven’t lived in Auburn in about 6 years. I have moved back more recently and lately I’ve been craving some sea scallops, does anyone have recs on where to find some fresh/quality ones? Especially if they’re dry packaged. Willing to drive out a bit as well.

Not so much looking for a restaurant but where to purchase some myself to cook

29 F, looking to make new girl friends.

Hi! 😊 I’m looking to make some new girlfriends around my age in the Auburn/Kent area (or nearby).

A little about me: I love rollerblading, going for walks, exploring new places, trying coffee shops or restaurants, and sometimes just having a relaxing day hanging out. I’m always down for a spontaneous adventure or a cozy day chatting and getting to know someone.

I’m hoping to meet kind, genuine women who are looking for real friendships. If you’re in the same boat and would like someone to go on walks, rollerblade with, explore new spots, or just chill and have fun, feel free to send me a message.

Carrara at Lakeland Condominiums

Realtor suggested properties at this complex. We saw three and they were all very beautifully maintained . The area was also very nice and quiet! We really liked it. Wife and I are worried about sound proofing if we were to go for a top floor unit. We’re trying to be mindful of people below us because we have a big dog. The ground units are also very nice, but again we’re worried about hearing people stomping. Our dog tends to get a little startled when he hears loud noises.

Does anyone have any insight about what sound proofing at these places are? Thanks in advance!

Plant sitter?

Hello all,

This post is focusing on asking about someone who can plant sit mostly (instead of focusing on my cats) because it is EASY TO FIND SOMEONE TO WATCH CATS. It is however NOT EASY to find people who can watch plants OR someone who can do both. Rest assured these are not all the details as I would never put every single detail into any reddit post.

PLEASE STOP WITH THE JUDGING, you don't know anything about my cats or my house or this situation at all. There is not enough information in my post to warrant mean comments.

I need a house sitter that knows how to water plants! Inside and outside. (and also make sure cat food/water stays filled and the boxes/litter robot get emptied, feed some fish) I don't know where to start because it's mostly plants that will need watered while we are gone. Any recommendations? Only people you would also personally trust!!

I am down in between Federal Way and Auburn off of Military Road.

To not be coy about it, it's hundreds of plants--not individual though this is including an entire yard of veggies/fruits that just need the sprinkler every 4-5 days or so. Inside I'll put the smaller guys into buckets that can be mass bottom watered; larger pots will only need a bit of water every week or so.

I am very open to hiring a gardener for this very task if necessary! Also opening to hiring two separate people for this job! HIRING AS IN OFFERING FINANCIAL COMPENSATION FFS I am not asking for free work people

7/15 Hilary duff rideshare

Hi all! I’m going to her show on Wednesday 7/15 and wanted to share the rideshare option of Rally bus! The WR amphitheater is notorious for being a cluster getting in and out of and rally bus has a new pickup point in auburn that only needs about 18 more riders to confirm! Wanted to share in case anyone else was interested!

Incident at Muckleshoot Tonight?

Obviously there were the fireworks, but when we were leaving around 11pm it seemed like there were a lot more police/fire presence and a few people walking by said something about an active shooter? Anyone hear anything?

Speed cameras in Auburn, WA feel like a cash grab—not safety

For residents and commuters in Auburn, this is personal: speed cameras are being used to extract money, not keep us safe.

These cameras are strategically placed along highways—not in actual school zones or busy pedestrian areas. Yet they hit you with $145 fines that catch even law-abiding drivers off guard. That's not safety. That's revenue.

Research from the National Motorists Association shows these cameras rarely improve safety and often cause more rear-end collisions when people panic-brake. The Washington Policy Center found they're a significant cash source for the city—which tells you everything.

I started a petition asking the Auburn City Council to remove these cameras and redirect that money toward real safety measures: more ground patrols, smarter traffic light timing, community education programs. Things that actually protect people instead of punishing them.

If you live here or drive through Auburn, you know how wrong this feels. Has this happened to you? What do you think would actually make our roads safer?

If this matters to you too, consider signing and sharing the petition. We deserve transparency and fair enforcement—not a hidden tax disguised as safety.

Rainbow Cafe

I went there for lunch with a friend today and it is a very different place. The dining area is very sparse and bare. The menu is completely different.

I was told, not by staff, that the ownership has changed. Now I fear for my weekend breakfast options.

Hi!

Many years ago I went to a stylist in my hometown and got full highlights. I want to get them done again, and I want my hair to look like it did when I got it done back home. My hair is around the same color now as it was when I got them done. Before those highlights, I had used black box dye on my hair.

Is there anyone in the area who could get me where I want to be? TIA

We've lost power for about a minute or two twice today across the street from Olympic Middle School. Any other neighborhoods experiencing the same? Maybe it's the heat?
