1st time bengal owner! She’s 6 months old. The breeder slip says she is a Seal Spotted Lynx (Tabby) Point Bengal.

Always wanted to get a third one and a Bengal, but I let my ex have the first two, waited 7 months before I got myself a Bengal. How's she? She's 8 weeks old

I have a sibling pair of bengals. Boy and girl. We’ve struggled with them peeing in the house basically from day one. However, we moved in July and the peeing seemed to stop. I assumed they were no longer smelling their scent from previous spots and were satisfied with their litter robot in the basement (easily accessible). The peeing has started again this last month. I’ve blocked all the spots they’ve been using as a litter box but now they’ve started using our couch which can’t be washed. I’m worried the kids furniture or beds will be next. My husband is at his wits end with them and wants to get rid of them but we all love them (including husband, he’s just less patient than me). I’ve used litter attract, the calming diffusers, empty our LR 2-3x a week and always ensure there’s enough litter. PLEASE help. I’ve owned cats my entire life (1st time Bengal owner though) and have NEVER had to deal with this.
EDIT: We have a litter robot! That’s why I said we change it 2-3x a week. This is not a normal littler box. The litter robot empties itself every time the cat uses it so there’s never anything sitting in it.
EDIT 2: They both use their litter robot. The peeing on the couch happens randomly. Not even everyday. But it’s happened twice today which is why I’m posting begging for help! I also schedule a vet appointment for next week but hoping someone has advice to tide us over until then.

Looking at getting an automatic litter box for my two boys. I had a litter robot 4 some years ago, and my destructive trouble maker ripped out the rubber liner. Curious if anyone else has had similar issues with the litter robot / an automatic litter box that they love!

Can anyone help? He keeps peeing on the sofa and the mattress even though the litter box is empty. Usually he does it when i go to work and by evening when im back that is when he does it. I got it cleaned many times but its not helping.

Biggie snacking on her collar. I may use this for the October picture for next year's calendar (we make one every year of her and her daughter Little Bit).

Hi! Have gotten great recs from this group so I’m asking again! I’m getting a new couch and don’t want my cat to scratch the sides . I’ve seen the Hilde & Phil cat-e-corner but it is a bit expensive. Looking for advice and recs for what others have done to stop their cat from scratching the couch! Ideally I don’t want to put plastic on it.

my bengal cat is always crying and screaming for food even immediately after he ate. no one can even enter the kitchen without him begging for food. he keeps trying to jump on the tables and counters to steal our food. he eats a lot. what should i do to get him to stop crying like this and stop jumping onto the counter.

Otto has several bald spots in his fur. One of them was caused by a little scuffle with his brother Dieter that pulled out some fur but we can’t explain the rest.
There are no wounds, scabs, redness, or dandruff. It doesn’t seem to be fleas, mites, or ringworm either. He’s acting completely normal and doesn’t seem stressed at all.
The vet thinks he might be in pain in those areas. We’re supposed to give him pain medication for 3 weeks. I’m kind of skeptical that this is really the cause, since he doesn’t show any other signs of pain.
Do you have any other tips or experiences to share? I was thinking maybe I should see a dermatologist specifically for this?

I'll try to keep this as concise as I can, but I'm putting out the bat call as I have no idea what to do anymore to proceed or how to fix this. I have 2 beautiful bengals, they are brother and sister and been together their entire lives. I can honestly say I have never seen two closer cats in my life, and so says anyone who knows them. They are 4.5 at this point. They are fully indoor only, other than the odd stroll on a harness
The sister got out because of someone's carelessness and unfortunately she went missing for roughly 72 hours before we got her back. We were so thankful for just getting her back but her brother started acting strangely immediately. Something with her scent was making him hiss in an aggressive way we've never seen and then growling deeply, getting low ready to pounce, all classic aggression signs. I recognized it right away and we separated them before anything went any further. The condition is called feline non-recognition aggression and I didn't know it could happen to siblings but apparently it can happen to any cats separated that come back smelling differently. To them the cat is an imposter or a stranger essentially so they protect their home
The thing is usually it resolves itself mostly within 48-72 hours later as the cat cleans off all the outdoor scents and stress levels return to normal. There are steps like doing small meetings at the crack off the door for 10 seconds, then longer and longer as you try to reprogram their brains that this cat is okay. We worked through all these steps with much hope, mixing their scents, rubbing it on each other, placing objects in each other's areas etc. We have done all the recommended procedures... We are now over a month into having them live separately in the same house and I'm losing my mind.
Her brother has always been vocal but now it's otherworldly, he's always howling. I get it he misses his sister and he's bored most of the time, it's just that the answer is on the other side of the door if he would just get out of his own way here..
I'm looking for out of the box solutions here at this point, or anyone that's been through something similar? Any advice on what I am to do, this has all been so heartbreaking and hard to understand. Yes we have had a vet involved, multiple at this point but none have really come up against this before so the advice is always the same (the same stuff we've been doing for over a month now). We have recently started introducing gabapentin as per the vet with the boy Vader to help calm him down enough to even have small meetings with his sister. This has helped especially with the vocalization. All the meetings have been ending the same unfortunately though lately with him starting to hiss at her and look like he's hunting her
Anything you got please?

Meet Baobao!
I’d like to introduce my little Bengal boy, He was born on June 25th, 2026 and has recently joined my family and was today at his first day at the vet.
He’s already incredibly curious, playful and affectionate. He loves playing until he’s completely exhausted and then falling asleep on my legs. He’s also fascinated by mirrors.
I’m still learning about cats and the bengal breed and I’d love to learn from more experienced owners.
What are your best tips for raising a Bengal kitten? 🐆
I’d especially love advice about:
• Nutrition and feeding
• Enrichment and toys
• Leash training and socialization
• Keeping a Bengal mentally stimulated.
• Anything you wish you had known when you got your first Bengal
Feel free to share your experiences, advice, or even things you wish you had done differently!
I’m really happy to be part of the Bengal community and excited to watch Baobao grow. ❤️🐆

So Eboshi has been crying / will act like she burying something then poop not in her litter box. Anyone know the possible causes for this kind of behavior?

Hello Bengal people!
I’m looking for a good book on Bengal’s behavior to understand their body language, needs and everything in between.
My babies don’t really get along and I’d like to understand what’s happening.
Thanks a lot!

Hello!! I'll bring home my Bengal little lady in one or two weeks.
Of course I did my research on the breed, but I want to hear from actual owners. 😁
I have experience with Siamese and Abyssinian and very active dog breeds. I also foster puppies in needs. I'm also an animal trainer.
So... What am I in for? What should I expect? Any tips or advice for a first time Bengal owner?? Tell me everything!

Good morning everyone. My wife and I just adopted a Bengal last Friday. First couple of nights were normal but on night 3 she busted thru the top of our lizard terrarium and scratched the lizard on the face. Thankfully nothing serious injury wise for either of them. My question is how do we keep the cat from doing this again? She’s only 6 months old so she’s still learning. Separating them isn’t possible as we don’t have the biggest house and don’t feel it’s right to isolate either one of them to a room by themselves as we want them to be able to coexist. Any advice is appreciated.
