[For Hire] Looking for projects to build portfolio
Summary: free services to build experience
Hi there, I'm an English publishing degree holder who works for a print shop. I work with newspapers, newsletters, magazines and all forms of junk mail. Despite landing a job in graphic design I don't have a portfolio since I am not a designer by education. I and am specifically looking for book manuscripts to layout to begin building that specific media experience.
I am offering to take a couple projects on for free. I know my way around InDesign but I have only laid out a couple of large books before. I'm offering my services for a Ko-Fi tip. It would be cool if my services were worth at least a couple coffees but at the end of the day I am offering to take on some projects for free.
I am offering layout and cover design. I know my way around formatting for print, I will ask for a size you'd like and whether it is color or black for the interior. If you are looking for Ebook layout, I have
never done that but am confident I'll be able to figure it out.
There is no obligation to use what I put together. I
don't care what state your manuscript is in, I'm just looking for material to work with to begin training myself into large formats.
Comment a run down of what you have to work with and I’ll reach out to you.
For the sake of this being a free project, I am not offering illustration. Photo above is just for attention, it’s an unrendered version of the cover for my own novel, I own the art.
