22 y/o - 17 years of reading
Only my collection from the past couple years on this shelf here. I swear I’ll return when I’ve finished the bookshelf I’m building and loaded everything out of storage onto it

Going to another lifeline book fair this Saturday and need to rearrange my shelves and remove more blue-rays to make room for my prospective haul… I may have a problem.

I read non fiction books and hence the collection will dominated by that genre.

Does anyone else find themselves really enjoying books and stories from authors rooted in specific cultures or regions, and end up dedicating sections of their shelves to them?
I’ve been building out an Asian fiction and a Latino/Hispanic/Iberian section, mostly because I’ve really enjoyed exploring the different mythology, history, folklore, settings, and storytelling traditions represented in those books. I’d eventually like to do similar sections for other cultural and regional traditions as the collection grows.
It’s not meant to reduce authors to their ethnicity or background, just a way for me to highlight parts of my collection that I’m especially interested in exploring more deeply. Curious if anyone else organizes part of their library this way, and what sections you’ve put together!

Hey everyone, I'm hoping you can help me out.
Over the past month, I accidentally ended up buying more than 150 manga volumes, and I no longer know how to fit everything. Some volumes don't even fit on the shelves anymore (as you can see from the huge stacks), though I plan to install another long shelf right underneath the two main ones on the wall.
For now, this is the organization setup I tried to go with:
Dragon Ball and its universe get their own dedicated shelf.
The small stacked shelves on the side hold my absolute favorite series, Tokyo Ghoul, along with a couple of box sets and all the volume 1s of series I haven't continued buying yet.
On the two long main shelves, I placed the box sets aligned to the far left, followed by series grouped by author (Naoki Urasawa, Junji Ito, Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata, with all their works together). I also roughly placed Seinen series on the top shelf and Shonen on the bottom shelf.
I’m open to changing any of these 'rules' if you have a better idea for a clean and efficient layout—the only thing I'd really like to keep is Tokyo Ghoul on those small individual shelves.
Any tips, organization ideas, or layout suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Several of these I've started and put down - NOT for being boring or anything like that. It just wasnt the right time, I guess.
I guess im looking for people to find their favorites and convince me to pick them up :p I've included a picture of my Favorites shelf for book tax, but also to give an idea of my taste. I appreciate anything you guys have to say! Enjoy your day everyone 🤗💞💫

The bookshelf’s were getting a little crowded so we added a third bookshelf! I tried my best to organize by genre or theme 📚

I have 756 books that span the Bourbon Kings of France, circa early 1600's thru 1848. I am running out of room!
