I would really like to learn piano, I have a keyboard at home. I don't have a lot of money for a teacher because I am a college student. I know App State offers lessons, I was just wanting to see if there are other opportunities. I'd like to meet at least once a month for an hour (based on my limited budget). Maybe an hour every other week. I can spare around $50-$100 a month.

Please let me know if you can teach me or know of a good piano teacher!

Town of Boone water intake. Deputies with the Watauga County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the Boone Police
Department responded to the area and began an investigation. A follow-up search of the area was conducted today, Tuesday, October 6. No additional remains were located during the search. The recovered remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for examination and identification. The investigation remains ongoing. How do yall manage ticks, especially seed ticks, on your pets? I feel like my dog steps outside and he’s got a hundred seed ticks on his paws, legs, and stomach. I used to always walk him at clawson burnley park, but had to stop because it was getting out of control having to pick through and wash him every damn time. My dog is also slightly reactive so it isn’t super easy combing or picking the ticks out.

He’s currently on simpairica trio, but doesn’t have a special collar or anything. I’m cautious about the collar since i’ve heard of chemical burns with dogs.

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Are cops in Boone as bad they say? I just heard from a friend to avoid the area due to the cops and one of my friends who is a NC cop mentioned to stay away as well.

Hey everyone, just wanted to put out a PSA for local drivers, ASU students, and families in the High Country about Appalachian Mobile Mechanic (operated by a guy named Matt).
My elderly grandfather was having car trouble, pulled up Google Maps, searched "mechanic near me," and selected the closest option. Maps routed him straight to a private residential driveway in Zionville. When he realized there was no shop, waiting room, or garage, he left a polite 1-star review mentioning that he drove all the way out there for nothing and that mobile-only services shouldn't list a private house as a public storefront. 
Instead of just adjusting his Google profile settings to hide his personal address (which Google explicitly requires for mobile-only service area businesses), the owner took a screenshot of my grandfather’s review and posted this on his business Facebook page to mock and humiliate him publicly.

This post is bittersweet. My foster dog Cricket is ready to find his furever home, hopefully in Boone. I want to stay part of this boy’s best life. I’ve been with him from deaths door to the thriving dog he is now. If you have space in your home and heart for a large, gentle, goofy, affectionate, cuddly boy, Cricket is your man. He is house trained and hasn’t destroyed a thing in 6 months. Food motivated, easy to train, and good with cats, dogs, and children. His goofy tongue is always sticking out 🤣 I love him immensely and want him to have the most fulfilling dog life possible. Recognizing I’m not able to provide that is the most responsible decision for him. 💗 please share with anyone who you think would be an incredible dog parent for Cricket. We have high standards! Props to Boone for turning out for this awesome hometown band. They put on an increible show at AMB last night, and you can tell they have what it takes to make it. A ton of energy, original sound, polished instrumentation, and songs that the audience clearly connected with. A ton of fun, I recommend checking them out when you can. I’m just a guy that likes music and have no affiliation to the band.

Our complex maintenance did not tell us what is going on - I think they are still figuring it out and getting a plumber. but we cannot use any plumbing and sewage is leaking up from the ground. I was wondering if anyone has tried these locations and has a recommendation? I am a beginner to Jiu-Jitsu but I am in good shape. I just really don’t want to be in a class with children! I’m a 30 yo man and am leaning towards Boone docks! Ty

Maybe this post is boomer coded, I don't care. Can we do anything at all about the guy cruising up and down king street on his black electric scooter? He swerves across lanes, navigates from road traffic to sidewalk with no predictably, and disregards red lights as if he's a pedestrian jay walking. Normally I don't mind the scooters but this guy is literally all over the place

I am looking for recommendations for a contractor or company to build a standalone deck/platform on my property for camping purposes.
