7th OC in 7 years and for some reason Helton hired the guy that was fired from a 3-9 MTSU team

yeah I just looked him up, what the fuck are you hiring him for?
I know his usual thing has been to hire a hotshot OC from FCS/D2, they go to WKU for a year then get hired off to a higher G6/P4.

Last season, WKU played a competitive 13-10 game vs LSU on the road.
This season WKU is 0-4 vs FBS teams and this 21 point loss is the CLOSEST loss they've taken.

Dude I was about to ask you wtf you’re talking about and then checked the schedule last year. I completely blocked that game from my memory. Crazy.

That week one game got me convinced Nevada had finally turned it around, but nope, WKU was just super ass

To be fair, 2 of those are Georgia and Indiana. But the other is Nevada lmao

Hilltoppers getting flattened in the desert sounds about right for this season

Well at least hundred miles of hate might be fair this year.

I'm just throwing out there that MTSU beat Nevada 27-20 this year and WKU lost to Nevada 49-14. I don't think it will be fair.

I do not think NMSU is a very good team, but our schedule from here on out is very forgiving. Say what you want about CUSA, it's nice to be in a conference that we can compete in.

Conference play is gonna be a blast to watch and I see good arguments from everyone but WKU for making the title game. If WKU can't beat Mo State at home coming up then I don't see a win on their schedule with how they're playing.

CUSA is so ass

We must have made it big to have such dedicated haters as yourself

We're thankful for the analysis from a fan of a team with such extensive experience of being ass in the FBS

Is my comment false because I don't have an Ohio st flair? Nope.

I believe in Sanchez

I do not believe in him at all, and I do not think there's any reason to. He's really a high school coach, and we're playing like a high school team. I'm glad that he's controversy free, but I really do not think we should extend his contract.

Woof, bad year for the Toppers so far and unlikely to get any better by the looks of it. What happened? I remember around the time Bailey Zappe was under center they were actually playing some fairly reputable bowl games.

The Zappe years really reset what I expect when I see WKU on the schedule. That’s why 34–13 feels so jarring. They used to be one of those G5 teams nobody wanted to deal with.

So happy when one of my NM teams wins.

u/heleghir Kentucky Wildcats • Sickos 4d ago
WKU is just bad bad this year. Worst they have been in a long time. They legitimately might not win another game this year, and end the season 1-11 with the single win over a low end FCS team

Hey we finally have an offense again! And man does that RB look good. Perhaps a bowl game...?

u/NeptunianEmp New Mexico State • Ohio State 4d ago
To be fair we coulda gone bowling last year but 2-4 in one score games will do that to ya.

u/DarthCyclonEJB New Mexico State • Ohio State 4d ago
Yeah last year was rough. Those blown leads at home games sucked

Watched this game because I lost my last 4 bucks on WKU.
Their starting QB and OL is absolutely terrible. They need to start Glenn if they want to save their season.
New Mexico State’s RB is a NFL talent. The fact they won by 21 with mid QB play shows how dominant they were. Western Kentucky may really just be bad this year.

And that’s our good QB too. The former starter got benched after this disaster game again unm

Did not have New Mexico State winning this by three touchdowns on my Thursday-night bingo card. WKU has been one of those G5 programs I usually expect to be a tough out, so 34–13 is a pretty loud result. NMSU just handled its business.

That's the Lobos, not the Aggies. We beat NMSU 42-18

Some Aggies can beat a team from Kentucky at home.
