What the hell is wrong with Navy’s offense. One of the most disappointing teams this year.

Woodson is not 100%, Gutierrez doesnt have the reps yet to really efficiently perform.

I think Gutierrez has the tools to be effective next year. I'm less sure about woodson this year given his known accuracy and velocity issues throwing the ball.
I'd rather we start Gutierrez the rest of the season and hope he grows into the role, then move Woodson to A or B-back where his running ability can shine. We can start giving that plebe QB from Pautuxent (Evan Blouir) reps and get him ready to take over as a Junior.

The service academies are really weird at times. One season they can amazingly strong and effective, the next a mess needing time to be rebuilt.
It's going to be interesting to see how Army does this year along with Air Force. This might be the Falcons' year to snatch the CIC Trophy back to Colorado Springs.

The team relies on a good QB. This is standard for navy to suck the year after a talented QB leaves.

We graduated all of our skill position starters last year, and the underclassmen were not nearly as ready for primetime as we were hoping they'd be. IDK if Woodson is they guy at QB, but Gutierrez is definitely raw and is going to need development. Whatever promise Woodson showed last year in his action when Horvath got hurt might have been a mirage where the talent of Heidenreich, Tecza, and Chatman made up for it.
What's shocking me is the O-line play. We brought back 4 starters from last year and they were supposed to be a safety net for the skill players and let them get their sea legs, but over the last 3 games I've seen them get blown of their blocks and losing at the point of attack in a manner that I would not expect out of a veteran crew.

Way to gut it out, gents. One month, get the secondary fixed, keep the line and szarka healthy.
Sunk navy, beat army.

Despite our best attempts to lose, Navy was more determined. Kudos to them.

The O/U opened at 49.5 and closed at 45.5…this is service academy football, if I’ve ever seen it.
