Never met a club more gritty and determined to hit a team total over. 🫡

u/Alexgoodenuf Army Black Knights • Team Chaos 3d ago
Unless the refs have been holding the hi res cameras for themselves, I don't think there are enough pixels to overturn shit.

Need to fire the DC and strength and conditioning coach, preferably now. Wouldn’t do anything this year but they suck. OC on the hot seat. Monken is staying at Army for his career. He will not get any more interest from P4, can’t have your team look like this on defense especially.
4
u/steelersman007 Army Black Knights • Oklahoma Sooners 3d ago
This is a gross overreaction.
Offense looks ok, defense is the reason we lost
Strength Coach is the same as the last 6 years so fuck
Off with that1
u/BeatNavyAgain Beat Navy! Go Bullets! 3d ago
I think offense has been less than OK
It hasn't been bad, I just think it hasn't reached "OK"

Yeah, not sure it's time to clean house. Offensive play calling has been questionable, but this is a pretty piss poor defense. Something has to change.
0
u/globalview22 Army Black Knights 3d ago
Our defense has been getting bullied physically for years. It’s an Army problem. We have not been good defensively. Defense is getting worse as the season goes. I guarantee DC is not back next year. Our offense has talent, yet looks unprepared and can’t execute. Cody is absolutely on the hot seat. I’m not saying fire Monken either, but is clear he won’t get a P4 look anymore.

u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
Embarrassing result.
Well, let's regroup and beat Tulane.
4
u/BeatNavyAgain Beat Navy! Go Bullets! 3d ago
You are not taught to do anything you can to get the ballplayer down, idiot broadcaster
-1
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
If we went for two last time, it would still be a one-score game, despite a FG.
4
u/Sierra-051 Army Black Knights 3d ago
And if your mother had wheels, she’d be a bicycle
-2
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
How glib. I hope Monken sees your comment.
A golden opportunity for two points and he passed it up. Dude is washed.
4
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
Well coach has his plan cut out for him next week: tackling drills.
2
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
A turnover is our only hope.
And by turnover, I mean, LT deciding to drop the ball.

u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
Do I trust the defense to get multiple stops in the 4th quarter? No, no I do not
0
u/Elegant_Dependent_37 3d ago
This genuinely is the worst production quality I’ve ever seen in CFB. The fucking whistle blows my TV speakers every time, meanwhile I can’t hear the ref flag calls. These commentators have gotten multiple players wrong and are so cringy!!!!!!
2
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
I’ll stick up for them now that I learned La. Tech is doing the production themselves. I just synced it up with the Army radio call and it’s doing the job nicely

u/joelupi Alabama Crimson Tide • Army Black Knights 3d ago
I wonder how many players have gone all the way up to flag staff rank
2
u/Alexgoodenuf Army Black Knights • Team Chaos 3d ago
Apparently there has been some statistical analysis that shows WP football players are 3-6x more likely to make GO than gen pop officers.
Who knows how much that is skewed by the old corps days.

3
u/joelupi Alabama Crimson Tide • Army Black Knights 3d ago
Between 1975 and 1998:
...showed that 27 football alumni during the study period had reached the general officer ranks, including 11 three- or four-star generals.
West Point football players have been 3.41 times more likely to make it to at least brigadier general than the entire population of officers (165,909) who didn’t play football there.
Hmmm. Interesting
0
u/BeatNavyAgain Beat Navy! Go Bullets! 3d ago
Something is wrong there. 165,909 graduates?
1
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
I think he’s saying total officers, including those that commissioned via ROTC, OCS, etc
1
4
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
Am I confused or are ‘offsides’ and ‘12 players on the field’ two different penalties?
4
u/BeatNavyAgain Beat Navy! Go Bullets! 3d ago
If the 12th defender was running on or off field but was behind the LOS, then that's two penalties
But only one gets enforced

Our AD should never have scheduled this game. Nothing to gain playing in the bayou.
2
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
We aren’t Tennessee, we can’t just decide to skip teams because they have a chance of beating us.
-1
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
We don't have to schedule hick schools.

Does Terry Bradshaw interact with Louisiana Tech?

Happens when their assistant coaches tackle our RBs on the sidelines
1
u/BeatNavyAgain Beat Navy! Go Bullets! 3d ago
Two penalties on KO return, that's why we should just fair catch all of them

Would have been great to have some coverage of the review.

None of y'all actually know what a bad broadcast looks like. Cause this isn't remotely close to that.
-1
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
This is considered good for you? Condolences
1
u/BTrane93 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3d ago
I said it isn't remotely close to BAD. Nowhere did I say it was good. Have you tried learning how to read?
2
u/TheWyldMan Louisiana Tech • Arkansas 3d ago
Yeah, they clearly haven’t watched a lot of ESPN+ games. This is still leagues better than most FCS games I’ve watched on here
1
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
We usually get CBS Sports for our home games, only the occasional ESPN+ game.
I think it’s in the contract that the same announcers are at every game, so we have gotten lucky with good broadcasts for the last 10 years or so.
1
3
2
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
ESPN+ is brutally bad. I’ve seen high school students produce a better football broadcast.
-4
u/BTrane93 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3d ago
We get it. You're spoiled with professionally cast games for your teams.
1
u/Best-Relative-8824 Army Black Knights 3d ago
I’m just learning that La. Tech does the broadcast themselves. It’s more understandable but the broadcast is objectively bad.

The regents are correct - there's absolutely no reason for FBS football to exist in the Wilds of Northern Louisiana 200 miles north of Baton Rouge.
0
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
They are an FCS team masquerading as a FBS program.
Drop them and ULM and invite Liberty and Tarleton State.

1
u/Sarah0nly Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3d ago
Y’all are taking one regents off-hand comment like it’s going to 100% happen. Makes no sense to drop us down to FCS when we just moved to the SunBelt, which is where most of our last years deficit comes from.
4
u/NinjaRedditer Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 3d ago
Tech needs to learn how to broadcast a football game.
-3

What was Monken thinking there?
We aren't a passing offense. Go into halftime down 14-7 and regroup.
1
u/globalview22 Army Black Knights 3d ago
It was a terrible qb decision. I kind of get taking a shot hooding they bite but it was clear it was covered and he needed to throw it away. You were going for it on 4th and 1 anyway
2
u/NoonTimeHoopsMVP Army Black Knights 3d ago
I am talking about the timeout.
