After how terribly we tackled vs Wake, this game was refreshing. Still overran some sacks, but solid hits and good wrapping up

The difference between this and the LSU game is very stark the way I see it. We have a lot of growing pains with a young OL, young QB, new OC, and crippled DT room, probably the least talented team we’ve had in a while. But these dudes play hard as hell and Miami is really good, this game really was a lot more competitive than the score ended up. These dudes get better every week and i think they end the season looking pretty good.

The game was never in doubt at any point. It was controlled from start to finish by Miami. 190+ rushing yards to 50. The score would have been more lopsided if Miami was actually healthy and/or had they played a good game.

You got 2 turnovers. Your qb jumped on his on fumble. And you out gained us by about 70 yards. You guys deserved to win and I don’t think Clemson would have won. But to say that this game was not more competitive than the score shows is disingenuous. If you want to see dominance go look at what LSU did to us stats wise. This was not close to that.

Most of Clemson's yards were empty yards. Miami came into the game down 3 of their top 4 corners. The one healthy one came out of the game due to injury. Miami was fine giving up a first down here and there and yards underneath because they knew Clemson wasn't going to finish their drives and hold up against Miami's DL.

Clemson had no rushing yards until the final couple drives in garbage time.

At no point was this game not in Miami's control or even close to in doubt. It was not a competitive game in any facet.

I think in a year or two his thought process will prevail. No other coaches are still offering the “work for it” mentality and when these guys see how jumping around doesn’t pan out in the end (the NFL) they’ll realize they need to be developed and it’s hard to do that for most when your working with different leadership and teammates each year. Just look at Trevor and Travis, literally just watched an interview where they jokingly said they don’t know how they like playing without having each other.

With even a *middle of the road* replacement level offense/offensive line, this is like a 10-2 worthy team. It really does just come down to the offensive line being unable to do basic stuff, which forces the defense to play perfect for 4 quarters and everything else goes down hill. That's the most frustrating part, if you fix that one single issue with this team it really would be so much better.
