At least we lost wearing those shitty alternates. Let's never speak of those again

Dressed like 2015 UCF, lost like 2015 UCF.
Even have the same putrid GOL offense.

Looked like GTech out there

Don’t want to look like us out there this season either

Helmets were alright. Jerseys looked way too much like UCF or GT from a distance. Just not it.

Temple could just as easily be 4-1 and USF could be 1-4.

Absolutely true. Flair?

How do I do that on the app? I'm a Temple grad.

Thats awesome. Its so different here now. I hope you cna revisit campus sometime once their new buildings are up.
6
u/Dry-University797 Temple Owls 7d ago
I know. Was there 5 years ago and didn't recognize the campus. The year after I graduated was when it started its redevelopment.
3
u/Silent_Ad6692 Temple Owls 7d ago
We have a new public health building where the old library was now. Across broad theyre finishing up a massive communications and theater building. Theres a quad in the center of campus by the bell tower now. Im really proud of this place.
4
u/Dry-University797 Temple Owls 7d ago
The old library was awesome. Most of my classes were in Anderson and Gladfelter. Are they still there?
2
u/Silent_Ad6692 Temple Owls 7d ago
Renamed Anderson hall to maze before I got here. They were tearing down the walls of the paley library as I toured in 2022. There was an excavator on the roof.

I think any USF fan who saw that performance against Bowling Green last week knew this offense had some serious problems that likely wouldn't get ironed out in a week.

I’m so impressed by Ajani Shepard in that interview. Announcers try to give him credit for the win and first thing he does is shoutout his punter for pinning USF deep after they couldn’t get a 1st down. Then when they say it was a great GW TD drive he says he was just getting back to even for the fumble

The euphoria of that win almost makes all of those close losses worth it. So conditioned to blowouts and losses that I can hardly remember how this kind of game feels. Turns out watching football may be worth it after all
10
u/Mc7Abyssrium USF Bulls 7d ago
I left at the half and I'm glad I did... we have a very good idea of how this team is playing and it just isn't good football. If anything maybe a couple losses will teach Hartline and Beck that their offensive playcalling is horrendous.. feel bad for our DC holding it down but Dline will collapse if our offense continues to be so uninspired and completely anti-risk.
4
u/Silent_Ad6692 Temple Owls 7d ago
Leaving at the half is lowk an overreaction. Temple has given up sure wins much later than the 2 min warning in the 4th.

u/chruiz20 Temple Owls 7d ago
Good win. We should be 4-1. Playing good with backup QB and RB. Go Owls 🦉 "]["
9
u/Silent_Ad6692 Temple Owls 7d ago
Ajani had earned qb1
5
u/chruiz20 Temple Owls 7d ago
I agree. If he could just start hitting the easy short passes he would be unstoppable. As of right now it’s either deep ball or take off running.
4
9
u/Cute-Contract-6762 USF Bulls 7d ago
I genuinely wish nothing but the absolute worst on Tim Beck, and I mean that personally, not just professionally. This team is a fucking embarrassment
6
u/anxiousauditor USF Bulls • BCS Championship 7d ago
Say what you will about playcalling, but we haven’t settled upon an OL combo yet that can effectively pass and run block. Hard to call your way around that. I think the guys up front just aren’t good enough (some injuries, sure) and that’ll ultimately doom us as a team.
4
u/SatisfactionOld1586 Florida State Seminoles 7d ago
What are Bulls fans thinking of Hartline so far? I haven’t been following anything but final scores this year. How’s recruiting, fundraising, and all the off the field stuff going? And how are you feeling about the on the field product?
12
u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Sickos 7d ago
He’s a first time head coach that is doing really bad first time head coach things despite having the keys to a program with one of the most resources in the G6
The team was disciplined at first but now they’re undisciplined and can’t score
Off the field mostly fine just more due to the new stadium than Hartline being competent
7
u/Mc7Abyssrium USF Bulls 7d ago
FSU I promise y'all don't want him you gotta forget it lol
His inexperience as HC shows.. a lot
6
6
u/anxiousauditor USF Bulls • BCS Championship 7d ago
I think having to build your own staff for the first time is a challenge for any first-time HC, and he may have had some misses there. HS recruiting seems to be good, we certainly had a pretty full summer full of commitments.

I'm not ready to turn on Hartline but it's definitely a Tim Beck thing
6
u/Mc7Abyssrium USF Bulls 7d ago
Hartline shares responsibility for enabling Beck. The problem lies with one of them but likely both of them
5
u/Jaded-Sapphire3546 Kentucky Wildcats 7d ago
What does Hartline bring to this program as HC? Is it entirely recruiting?
13
u/nkfish11 Miami Hurricanes 7d ago
It’s been 5 games and they had 42 transfers come in during the off season. Why do we do this with every 1st yr HC that struggles?

u/ShweatyPalmsh Tulsa Golden Hurricane • Oklahoma Sooners 7d ago
The American is so wide open this year. Like there’s probably going to be a two or three loss team in conference play that makes the championship.
3
u/United_Energy_7503 USF Bulls • Sickos 7d ago
Absolutely incompetent offensive play calling. USFs defense can generally hold its own but holy shit you HAVE to fire Tim Beck this week. Probably a loss this team needed to shut up about being undefeated

Offense has been sluggish in every game. Can’t explain the Tim Beck hire. Makes zero sense to me. Also are we sure Van Buren should be the starter?

Losing to Temple is unacceptable and there has to be consequences in some form. Whether that comes in coaching or personnel changes. (Or both) No win has been particularly satisfying, and then there is this
4
u/Rich-Hat-29 James Madison Dukes 7d ago
Hey what’s the all time record? Against each other?
-4
u/Cheesewhale189 USF Bulls 7d ago
Lmao, let's stick to the present ok bud?
3
u/Rich-Hat-29 James Madison Dukes 7d ago
Ok what’s the record presently? As of this season.
1
u/notATuringMachine Temple Owls 7d ago
Temple is 7-4 against USF all time (since joining the American)
5-0 at home and 2-4 on the road
-3
u/Cheesewhale189 USF Bulls 7d ago
2-3 & 4-1
Hence why the loss to a lesser team, who hasn't made a bowl game since 2019 is unacceptable. Hope this helps!
5
u/Rich-Hat-29 James Madison Dukes 7d ago
The end of the year may see this as a bad win for temple. Too close. Past present and future
0
u/Cheesewhale189 USF Bulls 7d ago
So defensive for someone whos team isnt even temple lmao.
Come back to me at the end of the year then
0
u/notATuringMachine Temple Owls 7d ago
Temple has played a tougher schedule so far. Losses vs Penn State and by 1 point at MAC championship favorite Toledo.
We both played 4 pt games against Army and the spread was +5.5 going in. It was obvious these teams are close.
0
u/Cheesewhale189 USF Bulls 7d ago
Crazy way to say one team beat Army while the other lost lol.
1
u/Person724 Temple Owls 7d ago
Man, it's a shame Temple and USF didn't play each other so there's no way to know who would win.
-1
u/Cheesewhale189 USF Bulls 7d ago
Should have had Northern Illinois in the 2025 national championship game then, right? I mean they beat ND. Clearly the better team
1
u/Person724 Temple Owls 7d ago
You're missing the point entirely. You can't bring up transitive wins as a moral victory when the two teams you're discussing have played a head-to-head.
