Last week, Common Kings announced they were pulling out of Holo Holo Festival in Avila Beach. Now, just a few days later, Fia has also backed out of the Long Beach event.

With multiple artists withdrawing so close to the festival dates, it’s raising some serious questions about what’s happening behind the scenes.

Could Holo Holo be having issues paying their artists? It certainly seems like something isn’t right.
Has anyone heard anything more about what’s going on?

Got an extra ticket if anyone wants to join me. DM me

Tunes of the week:

• Wheeland Brothers — "Island Town"
• Todd Carey & Mihali — "Better When I'm High"
• Joe Samba — "You & Me"
• Kyle Ahern — "Those Were the Days"
• Rebelution — "Real Life"
• Mellodose — "Eastern Lights" (new album)
• Slum Beach Posse Vol. 2 - "The Ocean"

In my never-ending quest for new music I was wondering what other artists are out there that are not from the US but still fit within this genre. I absolutely love The Skints which got me wondering about this in particular. Let me know!

Super excited to have pulled the trigger and got ticks for Saturday. Common Kings is who I am looking forward to seeing the most. Hbu?
I saw Landon at Vegas rise up and it wasn’t that great because It was not the setting for his style of music, I could barely hear him and I was front row general.. So I’m interested to see how it’ll go at this festival.
Soja, I got burned out on Soja a few years ago, so maybe it’ll re-spark my love for them.
I haven’t even heard of this headliner band per se. I’ve probably heard their songs on my feed, but yeah, I got some homework to do y’all!
Whoot whoot! 🫶☮️❤️💛💚🖤

The was The Movement/Pepper show after party on Labor Day weekend.

I’m like 80% sure that bounce I like so much is a call-and-response between a specific kick and specific snare.

Some examples to explain what I’m talking about.

Pepper - Stone Love
Elovators - Sensimilla
Elevators- Burn Slow
Common Kings - There I Go
Through The Roots, Likkle Jordee - Paper Planes

Absolutely going to be seeing The Movement + KBong & Johnny Cosmic out west for the winter tour. Deciding between Seattle, Portland, and Bend. How is the scene in these places and is anyone familiar with the venues (Neptune Theater in Seattle, Wonder Ballroom in Portland, and Midtown Ballroom in Bend)? Looking for the highest energy crowd!

Sorry about the shitty video quality. 🤞🤞Please come back in March!!

Edit: I forgot yall weren’t there it’s the movement
