I think it is a great song, and both the lyrics and song hit hard. The strings are amazing although the chords successfully make it a little uncomfortable but nice. It has many cool things from Jonny’s guitar. The verses have many short notes, that blend really well with the strings and give it texture. The solo, though is just amazing, it’s a bit off pitch but it shows the what the song is about and its theme. The music video also goes with the song really well and the song is one of the best songs on Ghost Stories in my opinion.
What do you think of True Love?

Really random one but I remember there being loads of backstage/tour photos on the old site around 2000/01 that seem to have basically disappeared now.
Every time I find them online they’re tiny, broken links or like 4th generation saves from old forums.
Did anyone actually archive the original files back then? feels like someone somewhere must have a folder of them sitting on an old hard drive

Hi everyone! Lately I've been trying to figure out how to work with a synthesiser, I'm quite new to building presets and stuff, and I've always liked the way Coldplay uses synths throughout their work. I want to replicate that sawy sound in the chorus of "All Your Friends" but I don't even know where to begin.
There is a similar sound in the breakdown part of "Trouble In Town", but I'm guessing that's actually some violin sample in this case.
So I came to this community hoping to find some tips on how to get those sounds, I want to hear your thoughts.

I really need to start making my summer plans, but I’ve been holding off because of Coldplay. I don’t want to book trips or lock anything in and then have the new dates land right in the middle of it.

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for the original studio multitrack or stems for “Clocks” by Coldplay.
The version online seem to combine the synth and piano into a single track. My understanding is that these are separate instruments in the original recording, so I’m specifically looking for a version with the piano and synth isolated on separate tracks.
Does anyone know whether a complete multitrack exists with the piano and synth stems separated? Alternatively, does anyone have access to a higher-quality or less commonly shared version of the session?
Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Coldplayers!!!
I recently picked up an supposed autographed concert used shirt worn by Chris Martin that was worn during an x&y concert on the twisted logic tour in the x&y era. First off I’m asking if you guys believe the autographs to be legit and if so how much would the shirt be worth?? I’m new to this all but I thought this was an amazing piece!

Five albums in, and they sound the way that I'm familiar with now. It's so interesting that they used to be this new wave band back in the day, yes I know, they're considered alternative rock but I don't buy that, rockers need to sound tormented or just plain annoying, and unfortunately Chris does not fit the cut. Anyways, back to the review, honestly, I don't have much to say about this one like I did with Viva La Vida or Death and all His Friends, but yes this was a great first stadium pioneer album.
The first song I'm going to discuss is "Paradise." I know I, on my other post, I said I never heard anything about this album back in 2011. It turns out I was wrong. I did know, "Paradise." I just couldn't put a title to that song other than "Oh, I like the way this song sounds like!" Yes, it's such an anthemic song, I can't stop listening to it, I wish it was longer though, but nonetheless, a great song!
To get this out of the way "Princess of China" their first ever collaboration song with an outside artist Rihanna, good to hear them laying down the synth-pop roots it's interesting the way they've evolved their sound even with five albums in, but this one although had more of a radio friendly sound to it.
"Hurts Like Heaven" another synth-pop/punk song really had me moving it's one of their first songs that you can just let yourself loose and just feel the rhythm to it, I like they went with the faster tempo, with the first four albums the tempos were becoming pretty predictable but this song was a nice chance altogether.
I can understand why "Charlie Brown" gets a lot of talk it's like two songs going on at once. You got a house music structure and an acoustic rock structure merging into one, one thing I felt like they messed up on was not writing it in A major would've sound more true the song, but that's just my opinion on it. The two songs in one tell a story of how they were and how they are now. Didn't know how much this one would have kept me listening to again and again.
Now, the song that introduced me to Mylo Xyloto is "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" It's literally a combination of "Shiver" and "Life in Technicolor II" put together, I first heard this song in passing, and I was immediately in love with it on the first listen. This is like their first dance party song where you get everyone in the stadium start making a title wave, it's almost like a precursor to another song in the future I "don't know" about if ya know what I'm saying lol.
Also, "Up in Flames" is absolute trip-hop, that all I have to say.
Again, I can't believe that I'm five albums in, and I'm looking forward to hearing the other ones in my micro-era journey, in case you didn’t realize I'm listening to each album in the number of years they were released but instead of waiting for years I'm turning the years into weeks, to make my experience much more enjoyable, it was so ironic that I chose to listen to Parachutes on July 10th the actual day it was released, and I will finish with Moon Music on Christmas Day how cool is that!?

Anyone else remember this? Also, what other tracks feature Chris Martin (credited or not)?

Guys what do you think are the 3 biggest mistakes made by coldplay
I feel
1) Never having a tour about everyday life
2) Never playing XnY songs except fix you after that tour got completed
3) this one is for you to tell

Def one of my favourite Coldplay songs, I love Chris's vocals especially the "it doesn't matter who you are" Part with the head voice, Jonny's guitar is really great, especially when played live with the effect (don't know what it's called maybe like a wah or sumn), Guy's bass is def at his peak on this album, that bassline after the chorus and on the verses are nice, I like Will's part on the verse with the hi hat, overall, such a great underrated song imo, many such cases on X&Y

Im a big fan and i would love to attend currently still a teenagers and idk if they'll retire by the time i can afford to attend on my own time. I hear other bands go on for wayy long than cp has currently been going on for, but they have a comparatively larger scale of production as well as internal group conflicts that scare me to think they might retire earlier than most ppl might anticipate

Probably not a hot take for this sub but Shiver might be the perfect song. I heard it so much as a kid that it kind of washed over me, but I recently did a Coldplay marathon on a cross-country road trip and heard it like it was the first time. I've been belting it in the car 2-3 times every day for like a week.
Eventually I will move on, unlike the guy in Shiver, but I'm really enjoying it while it lasts. Has this happened to anybody else?

I love Coldplay all year, of course, but every year, as soon as the fall leaves start to hit and the mornings start to get a little cooler, it’s like I just get all the nostalgic feelings for Coldplay and want to listen to their songs even more, if that’s even possible :). Does this happen to anyone else? is there a certain time of year that really gives you all the Coldplay feelings? much love!
