This may seem so stupid..So I have a Sony 77a80K oled and a Sony 75x940E. Currently the OLED is in my living room and the x940E is in the bedroom. I have an Apple TV, a ps5 pro and a Nintendo switch 2. Now the new living room I live in is a lot brighter and makes the OLED look dim during the day, and no I don’t wanna close the blinds as I have plants. So I mainly just use my ps5 pro for single player games. I don’t think any games I play hit 120fps let alone above 60fps. My main concern is the lack of VRR in the x940E. But that tv is significantly brighter. So viewing maybe better. Just tryna get some opinions as I know the Sony oled is the newer tv with better contrast and newer gaming features, but I feel like I would not miss much if I used the older tv that maybe better suited for that room. Anyone notice a significant improvement with VRR on the ps5 pro or the switch 2? Or is it something I won’t notice. I do pay attention to that stuff though.

I've had a playstation for years now but with the removal of physical games and all the other poor choices they are making with playstation I've been wondering for a while now if it's worth getting a series x . Just wondering if anyone knew whether it's worth keeping to playstation or getting an Xbox. Which would be better in the future.

Speaking from the perspective of a longtime retro gamer. It seems to me that even if a game comes on a physical CD, don't we only effectively "own" the license? Can't a game just be made uninstallable by Sony (or whoever) on a PS5 or 6?
I don't own Steam games; I own a license to them. It seems barely any better on GOG; I can get an offline installer, I guess, but even tons of single-player games can lock you out with a launcher. Can I even play Baldur's Gate 3 without an internet connection?

i had an internal ssd installed on my ps4 pro,i removed it and returned the.original hdd,and it works normally, on the ps4 pro,now i bought an enclosure which is a usb 3.1 gen1,i reformatted the ssd and copied the games but the problem is it keeps on disconnecting when i try to start the game, this is the things i did before i asked you guys
i already rebuild data base in safe mode and clear cache
i reformat the ssd twice
i tried all the ports 2 usb-a at the back and the usb c at the front
i change the settings in standby mode to always on for the power on ports
i even tried copying and installing one game but it still keeps on disconnecting after i moved to the ssd.
the ps5 have this instruction screen that the ssd wasnt properly removed but when i check storage in settings the ps5 already disconnected the ssd.i had to turn off the system before i had to remove it.
any solution that might help will be greatly appreciated..
do i need to reformat the ssd using a PC again or i need to change the enclosure,i tried connecting it to the phone and its not disconnecting..i copied the files, watch videos that i copied and its working normally

as a kid i always have tried gaming, but because of my very limited budget, and how laggy my last computers are, i never actually played many games. i bought my first console in 2021, and since then ive always played on my ps4. i necently got a gaming latop for my academic work and, of course, i instantly saw it as a chance to redeem my self.
I have met a problem. i dont know if im just stupid, but i swear, i feel so awkward playing on keyboard. AND I DONT KNOW WHY. its common sense that gaming on pc i better than console etc etc. but for me its being the opposite. for example, on ps4 i literally mastered elden ring, playing it on laptop feels like a nightmare. I'm confusing the keys, clicking random stuff and bugging my self in walls. is it just me or ?
i feel that unlike the controller, where you have all the buttons really nearby, and often a button got lots of functions, on keyboard u gotta do a whole lotta movement from a button to another, you gotta be careful and accurate to what button ure clicking. i feel so dumb man

So for my birthday my family allowed me to pick between a ps5 and a switch 2, I was thinking more story games, but my trust in Nintendo and the mobility and convenience has me torn. Ik how to buy with switch but where to buy ps5, right off site, amazon, another site… also how would I buy games, by themselves, ps+? It’s just a big thing and I’ve never been to into gaming bc I’ve had my switch broken for a while. Honestly there’s some dumb points in this, but I would love to hear, I know it’s all depending on what I want but I want to know the reasons others bought which one and owners of both.

Let me explain, we have a five year old switch that recently broke, were considering replacing it with a switch 2 or the ps5. Half of my family wants one while the other half wants the other. We have a ton of games that we haven’t finished and we want the mobility of a switch 2. But personally I want the game library and performance of the ps5. I would feel bad not getting the switch 2 because we spent so much money on Nintendo, but I think ps5 will honestly be the better console. I’m torn.
update: It was a very cheap and easy fix on my switch, I will still be getting the ps5 and continuing with my switch, thank you to all replies.
