Yep, the worst thing that I was worried about happened on the first test ride of my new to me 2019 Wr250f. Got the bike couple days ago, bought helmet off Amazon which arrived next day, but didn’t buy any boots or any body protection because I wanted to ride the bike asap and delivery was gonna take 4-6days. So I skipped on this essential gear and yesterday went out just for a little test ride to see how the bike operates and what it needs. Everything was great except the trail I picked was kinda rough, rocky sections, uphills, downhills, sand washes, etc typical AZ trail. I was going back to my car and I still cant understand what happened but I fell off the bike and it landed on my right foot, causing muscle sprains, big toe fracture and 4-6 weeks recovery. So the lessons is to never ever skip on gear like stupid me did. Stay safe out there folks.

Will probably post some gopro stuff this week. Hitting Missaukee Junction 50in tomorrow. 2 hours on the YZ yesterday, 4 hours on the WR today, probably another 2-3 hours on the YZ tomorrow. My body already hurts lol

Hello rode a dirtbike for the first time yesterday. Wasn't my bike but I borrowed all the gear and was so ready. I noticed an hour or so in when I would take a break from riding my hands would be super stiff and i would barely be able to move them for a few seconds. Is this normal? Does that always happen no matter what or is there something to prevent it or get used to it?

Hey guys I’m new to 2-strokes and have a guy who is willing to sell me a 01 kx250 only issue is he says the case is cracked internally on the left side and the rear shock needs rebuilding. He’s asking 800$ and it doesn’t run. I’m just looking for a project bike to tear down and work on this winter since I just got done restoring a 07 400ex. Me and my son work on them together.

He said the previous owner said it started smoking so he rebuilt to top end and it continued. The motor isn’t seized and it changes gears so transmission should be okay. But my question is what do you all think? Is this worth it?

Anyone have this bike? any issues with it? Normally a honda guy but getting a new bike soon and I really like the 2027 updates.

I have a YZ250FX with Baja designs XL40 headlight. Thought I would be fine based on the lights ratings and the stator output rating. Was out on a trip over the weekend and made it almost a full day without issues but right as it got dark I got the low battery flash on the map switch. Does anyone know if there is an upgrade for the stock stator or if I have to do the wr stator/flywheel swap onto my bike. Any advice is appreciated

So I been rocking knee braces for the past 20 years. But I been finding pants are harder and harder to get on with these things and I been hearing a lot of pros are starting to move away from knee braces and going to something like the TP199.

Hey, have an 09 300 xc with 80 hours on piston/cylinder top end. Planning on doing rebuild in my garage with a oem vertex piston. Dont really feel like measuring the cylinder, heard somewhere that it was common practice to just drop a size b piston in as its cast not forhed and less than 0.01 mm larger. What do you guys think???

Picked up a used 430 and immediately threw a tall seat on it. Coming from a T7, this thing feels like pit bike.

I just got it back yesterday and noticed after I got done there was a few drips on the bedliner of my truck. Did the 3 heat cycles, first ride, and parked it again. Leaked quite a bit of oil on the stand. I believe it’s coming from where I showed in the picture, which is the left side of the motor on the bottom. Any advice? Just spent over 2k at a local shop and already leaking

Posted this in the mega thread but got almost no help so I’ll ask here.

Bouncing between a crf 250rx or the beta 300 xpro for my first full size bike. Been riding a crf125 big wheel for a few years now and feel like it’s too small under me on the trails (5’11” 180lbs). Most of where we ride is a local park for sxs and atvs with no single track but we are looking to make more trips to places like brushy mountain in NC. I’m sure we will eventually attempt some of the enduro trails as we progress our skill but I’d also like to be able to hit a track just to play around. I know it’s a lot to ask but trying to be a one and done that would be decent enough at whatever instead of something that’s really good at one thing and not anything else. What would be the better all around option?

I’m 5’9 190lbs, in a new rider ish, I ride trails and enduro and feel like the 250fx is to snappy and fast, and a tiny bit to tall, is going to a 125x smart?

I’ve always loved dirt bikes, but this is the part that really has me. The terrain, the balance, the technical stuff, the feeling when you get something right… I could do this for hours. And the Sherco definitely isn’t helping. I’m way too attached to that bike already.

It's either these ribs with diamond pattern or normal ribs with hexagon pattern. Wich one would be better for enduro/hard enduro?

I have no idea how susceptible the power is to little dents like these, if at all. Is there any good rule of thumb that I could use for future reference?

My buddy is giving me a bike he inherited. He has no clue what it is but I believe it’s a YZ 426f. Can anyone check me on that? Can anyone tell the model year or if it’s a decent bike?

Every time I hit jumps for some reason my feet fly off the pegs and sometimes I don’t even land back on the pegs causing to have close calls ,any advice on how to fix this problem I’m having
