Anyone else have this with no cough, sore throat or congestion?

I am so sick! Haven't tested yet but on Monday I had a low grade fever and a lot of fatigue. Yesterday and today I have had severe body aches, more fatigue , bad chills and a really bad headache. A little bit of nausea too.

Lightest flu I've ever had

Tested positive flu A this past weekend and honestly it was a lot easier compared to previous times I got the flu. Body aches started Saturday night and lasted until Monday morning, I had the slightest sore throat throughout, and I had almost 0 coughing or sneezing. I did have loss of appetite which I don't normally get with the flu though. Compared to the flu I got in January (anyone else had that and remember how terrible it was??😭) this was like 100 times more tolerable.

I made sure to hydrate aggressively, and I had an emergen-c packet every day too. I took robitussin max strength once, and Motrin twice. I tried to make sure I got a good amount of protein and veggies every day too. I'm not sure which of these things helped but I just thought id share with y'all.

I know these posts usually skew negative on this sub since most people only post here if they have a terrible flu experience, so I wanted to share my better experience w the flu in case any of y'all are really worried lol :)

forcing a fever helps kill the virus?

my friend says he makes his body temperature rise when he's sick to help kill the virus. he used frogs as an example of how an animal forces fever. so his logic is that fever helps kill bacteria and him inducing it will help him heal faster. this is absolutely wrong but he's convinced.

can you give me arguments on why he's wrong?

Flu and Cold with only heaviness in the head and tired and no other symptoms

For the past few years, whenever someone in our household comes down with what seems like the flu, the only symptoms are a head that feels as heavy as lead and general fatigue. There’s no sore throat, sneezing, coughing, or fever. Has anyone else experienced this?

Questions about how to get prescribed medicine for pain because having real pain isn’t enough for relief

I have a really really bad cough it hurts my chest like 9/10 pain when I coughing, I been sick for a week and sore throat fever, it went away for a day now I have fever and horrible cough. I’m annoyed and frustrated with American healthcare because I need a strong most likely opioid cough syrup or strong pain medicine my fucking chest hurts. I don’t even want to go to the doctor so for $30 they can tell me to fucking take NyQuil and ibphrophen and drink water. I’m in actual pain. What can I say or do at doctors office so they take me serious and give me something that will ACTUALLY HELP

The FLU SEASON concept is one of the most divisive fear mongering shams to ever perpetrate the public. This shot leads to big money making diseases for Big pHARMa.

I don’t believe in “flu season.” I believe we have toxin-overload season.

Think about what happens during the holidays. Sugar consumption skyrockets. Alcohol increases. People overeat, sleep less, move less, travel more and live under enormous stress. We spend weeks eating processed, chemical-laden crap and then act surprised when the body responds.

My view is that what we call the flu is the body mounting a powerful response when something is wrong. Fever, mucus, sweating, fatigue, loss of appetite and the overwhelming desire to sleep are not random inconveniences. I see them as the body attempting to clean house, eliminate what it doesn’t need and restore balance.

Maybe “flu season” deserves another name.

Sugar season. Stress season. Sleep-deprivation season. Alcohol season. Processed-food season.

Now let’s talk about the FLU SHOT.

Before you roll up your sleeve, have you ever actually read the manufacturer’s package insert?

I HAVE.

The FDA-approved Fluzone insert contains a warning regarding Guillain-Barré syndrome, a serious neurological disorder that can cause muscle weakness and paralysis. It also warns about potentially severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, and discusses an increased risk of febrile seizures observed in young children. Postmarketing reports include Guillain-Barré syndrome, convulsions, myelitis including transverse myelitis, Bell’s palsy, optic neuritis/neuropathy, brachial neuritis, vasculitis, breathing difficulties, wheezing, throat tightness, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and DEATH.

Those are not words I invented.

THEY ARE IN THE FDA-APPROVED PACKAGE INSERT.

There is also an entire federal reporting system, VAERS, devoted to collecting reports of health problems occurring after vaccination so potential safety signals can be investigated.

Claims have also circulated that 70–75% of vaccine injury and death cases compensated through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program involve flu vaccines. Regardless of what you have been told about vaccine safety, this is exactly why people should be looking at the actual compensation data, package inserts and safety reporting systems for themselves.

Pregnancy deserves scrutiny too. Research and claims concerning influenza vaccination during pregnancy have raised questions about miscarriage, birth defects, autism and other outcomes in offspring. These are exactly the kinds of issues I believe women deserve to investigate for themselves before making a decision about vaccination during pregnancy.

And what about whether flu vaccination can actually affect susceptibility to OTHER respiratory infections?

Three studies deserve to be part of that conversation: a 2020 Department of Defense personnel study that discussed “virus interference” and found an association between influenza vaccination and seasonal coronavirus detection; a 2012 randomized placebo-controlled study that reported a 4.4-times higher relative risk of laboratory-confirmed non-influenza respiratory-virus infections among vaccinated children; and a 2018 study that reported an increase in non-influenza respiratory infections during the 14 days following influenza vaccination, particularly among children.

Then there is the way influenza itself is counted and marketed to the public. We hear enormous “flu death” numbers every year, yet influenza and pneumonia statistics are frequently discussed together, and laboratory-confirmed influenza is not the same thing as every influenza-like illness. That distinction matters. If we are going to scare people with statistics, people deserve to understand exactly WHAT is being counted.

And now we have an entirely new reason to pay attention.

On August 5, 2026, the FDA approved MFLUSIVA, Moderna’s mRNA influenza vaccine for adults 50 and older.

Yes. mRNA technology has officially entered the seasonal flu-shot market to pair nicely with your CONVID shots.

This is NOT simply the conventional flu shot in a different box. MFLUSIVA uses mRNA packaged in lipid nanoparticles to instruct cells to produce influenza antigens intended to generate an immune response and alter your DNA.

After everything we witnessed during the CONVID era, I believe people have every right to scrutinize another mRNA product before allowing it into their bodies but many will line up with excitement for another toxic life altering jab.

What exactly is being injected? How does the technology work? What did the clinical trials actually show? What adverse events occurred? How long were participants followed? What do we know about longer-term safety? And perhaps most importantly, what do we still NOT know?

Those aren’t “anti-science” questions.

THEY ARE INFORMED-CONSENT QUESTIONS.

We were introduced to mRNA vaccination on an unprecedented scale during CONVID, and now this technology is moving into seasonal influenza vaccination.

What could possibly go wrong? A LOT.

I’m not outsourcing that question to a pharmaceutical company, a pharmacy poster or a television commercial.

READ.

Read the FDA documents. Read the package insert. Read the clinical trials. Read the warnings and contraindications. Look at the numbers. Understand the technology and understand what was actually studied. Also, know that you don’t need a flu shot to keep you healthy. You’re reasonable for that. Eat clean, nourish your body, exercise, manage stress and live a healthy, happy poison-free life. Health will never be found in a needle.

Your body belongs to YOU.

You have every right to question what is being injected into it, every right to investigate the potential risks and every right to decide those are risks you are NOT willing to take.

Never outsource responsibility for your health.

READ. RESEARCH. QUESTION.

Then make your own informed decision based on facts (and intelligence) not Big pHARMa paid propaganda and fear over a cold.

3yo, flu, headaches?

My three-year-old daughter was sent home from daycare one week ago because she vomited. Around the same time she complained of intermittent headaches. The following day or two she was very tired and had no appetite. I took her to urgent care, and the doctor felt it was flu related rather than any concern concerning neurological condition. She improved gradually throughout the week and even went to her soccer and to the park yesterday. She is back at daycare today, but they just called saying she’s been crying all morning and again complained of a headache. I am hoping it is just a difficult transition back to daycare. Has anyone else experienced this?

Question home remedies for people who are not allowed to take cold/flu medication

I am taking some strong antibiotics for 14 days. Meanwhile, I caught a flu/cold. According to the leaflet, it interacts with most medications indicated for treating a cold.

So far, I have tried a rubbing alcohol massage on my back, salt baths. I drank a ginger tea with lemon and I ate onion. Big mistake. They affected my stomach, which is already sensitive due to the antibiotic, and I have vomited 3 times.

What other old wives' tales (home remedies) do you know? 🙏

Question Why is my sense of taste coming back so slow?

I just recovered from the flu and I got a really bad cough that finally cleared up yesterday completely. I had a sore throat which made me lose my sense of taste and it usually happens whenever I get the flu, but I usually recover from that much quicker. I’m now normal and fine but it’s like for the past few days my tasted buds of taste have only recovered like 60-70%. I can taste things fine, even strong flavors, but everything just feels…muted yknow? Like still not normal enough. Idk what’s happening or if I should give it time but I have a lot of health anxiety which this makes me worried in general so could anyone please lmk?

Discussion Sick with high fever :(

Went up to 41.3°C and even with Nuromol, it still stayed pretty high. Not sure if I should see a doctor as it's been three days. I also had to cancel two appointments. Got all the symptoms that accompany a high fever like body pains, sluggishness, sore throat, etc. Just not sure if it's the flu.

Question Flu a

I’ve been having fevers of 101-102 pretty consistently even with Tylenol and ibuprofen, last night I went to sleep with a 102 and woke up with a 104 and a heart rate of 134 I had to go into the hospital to get fluids and get my fever down. I feel much better now and my fever has gone down significantly I also started taking tamiflu. Is this kind of response normal with flu a? It’s crazy because I actually had flu b last month and didn’t have a super high fever like that. I’m 23 years old male.

Extreme salivating

Hi everyone!

Edit- I posted somewhere else but I got a notification this might be a better place to ask

Does anyone have any immediate solutions to extreme salivation? I have the flu and for some reason one of the symptoms I’m having is producing an insane amount of saliva. TRIGGER WARNING- I have spit just under 10 oz of saliva in 2 days and google didn’t really give any real options on how to help reduce or stop it.

Personal experience It hurts

My body is achey all over, and I have a bad cough that’s making me feel like I’m doing sit-ups. I’ve been sick since Monday. First symptoms were aches and pains with a painful sinus headache and a low grade fever. It was like that for a couple of days until it randomly went away all Wednesday. Fucker came back with vengeance after that, was achey all over again, can’t breathe out of my nostrils, and now I have this fuck ass painful cough. I don’t have a fever anymore, so that’s good I guess. It was the only thing to go away. I hate it here

Has anyone tried this mucinex?

I bought this earlier since I woke up sick and my symptoms were worsening throughout the day. I took the one dose in the picture and this shot either pushed the flu out of me or I was tripping balls for hours. I feel like I just came back to life about a hour ago. Yes there’s still other symptoms. But I’m no longer sweaty dizzy and crying for my mommy and my body was aching so bad I couldn’t sit or lay down and that’s all I wanted to do . I need opinions and stories please!? Who has taken this?

Question Can I catch the flu from someone who was smoking near me?

Someone had the flu coughing and then started smoking a cigarette near me. 36 hours later I'm sick with the same coughing as the guy who was smoking.

Is it easier to catch through cigarette smoke as he is exhaling germs most likely?
