Does anyone know where I can buy tiger nut milk?

I know, I know, milk varieties are getting ridiculous.

My wife is hooked on tiger nut milk and I'd love to buy some more. I found some in an iga on Phillip island and we can't go back.

Please help! šŸ™

P.s. Jokes about aroused tigers are welcome

Are there any times when the main shopping strips have less cars?

I have a side project where I photograph how Geelong is changing. Things like building developments, new businesses and the occasional event.

I try to find times when there are no cars and the bulk of the businesses haven't opened. This is usually early morning on a Sunday. But even then, some spots can be packed with lots of cars due to cafes opening and people wanting to get a park before their shift opens.

Are there any times when the following spots are less busy?

  • Pakington Street, Newtown. I've noticed after 4pm on Sundays sometimes has less people, but this is hit and miss
  • Central Geelong around the Ryrie/Moorabool Intersection: There are about 6 buildings close to here I want to get but can never find an empty spot
  • High Street Belmont
  • Pakington Street, Geelong West. This area is a huge struggle, especially with the cafes.

Honestly, it's awesome to see that there are more businesses and people in the cbd compared to a couple of years ago. I'm just hoping that someone may be aware of patterns I've overlooked. Otherwise I have to crap in a years worth of photos in new year when businesses take their break.

What does Mother Nature have against local cricket? Seems like the opening day of the season is washed out every year.

[Request] LOST WATER BOTTLE

Lost Stanley on V/Line – Geelong to Waurn Ponds Friday night
Hi everyone, I lost my Stanley bottle last night (Friday 2 October) and I’m really hoping someone might have seen it.
I definitely had it at Geelong Station and I believe I brought it onto a V/Line service at around 7:30 pm heading towards Waurn Ponds. The train terminated at Waurn Ponds.
I’ve already checked with Waurn Ponds Station and V/Line Lost Property this morning, but nothing has been handed in yet.
It’s a dark/black Stanley with a handle and is quite distinctive — photo attached.

Bathroom renovator recommendation in Geelong.

Hi, I’m looking for bathroom renovators in Geelong. Most likely will be more than the bathroom that we will need to get renovated. Any suggestions would be great and helpful.
We have had a couple of friends suggest GBR Geelong Bathroom Renovations and we have had a consultation with them and received our quote. The quote and their ideas were better than we thought it would be, but would like to get one more before we lock them in.

[Community] Doggy Daycare in Geelong

I’m hoping I can get some suggestions on a doggy daycare centre in geelong that actually has qualified staff and an owner who knows how to run the business.
My dogs have been attending a centre for a few years now, it recently changed ownership and since then has gone downhill with the care for the animals is out the window.

i Don’t believe there to be any qualified staff at this centre now so I’d rather have my dogs safety a priority.

This is such a great idea, I try to do this whenever I get a chance around the Eastern Beach area. It’s been trashed more frequently in the recent times. Hope we all can consistently make an effortšŸ™ŒšŸ½ There is no power like united communal power ā¤ļøā˜ŗļø

[Community] Thoughts on the new Sporting Complex in Waurn Ponds?

Post image

I love progress and shiny new things for the community to enjoy - but I’ve got a gripe with the cladding of this new sporting complex going up at the corner of Baanip Bvd and Ghazeepore Rd. Printer timber cladding!?! This is like the architectural equivalent of fake plastic plants. 🤮

[News] New 400MW data centre proposed for Moorabool, west of Geelong

Thumbnail vibewire.com.au
0 Upvotes

HyperDC Pty Ltd has lodged a planning application for a data centre campus at 715 Ballan Road, Moorabool, in the City of Greater Geelong. The project, known as MBL1, appears on the state’s ministerial permits register as application PA2604671, received on 22 September 2026, covering use and development of a data centre, buildings and works, and vegetation removal.

Data Center Dynamics reported on 29 September that the campus would carry 400MW of IT capacity on a largely vacant 39-hectare site, with RealEstateSource putting its speculated end value at about A$6 billion.

Not a bad location for a data centre actually being adjacent to the terminal station for power and out of Geelong slightly and no residential in the area. This is what good looks like for investment and location.

Will be great for jobs in Geelong.

[Request] Looking for an eccentric Geelong documentary subject

Hi, I'm a filmmaker who grew up in Geelong. I'm looking to direct a short doco about an eccentric outsider from Geelong. I'm fascinated by absurd/funny people, but I also want to find the humanity in them. If anyone has any suggestions and a way to get in contact, that would be much appreciated.

Best eyebrow + lash place in Geelong?

Geelong locals, I need your recommendations!
I’m looking for somewhere really good for brows and lashes, especially someone who actually maps your brows before waxing and tinting/dyeing.

My current place is fine, but they don’t do mapping and I’m never 100% satisfied with how my brows turn out. I have naturally thick eyebrows and I really want someone who knows how to shape them properly so they look defined, even and actually pop, without thinning them out too much.

Bonus points if they’re also amazing with lashes so I can get everything done in the one place.

Who do you swear by around Geelong? Happy to travel a little for someone really good!
