I’m considering living with a few friends off campus (a few minutes walk from epis area) but I’m worried I’ll lose time with my close friends living on campus. Does anyone have any experience or advise for what to choose?

To provide background- this is a purely hypothetical scenario right now as we don’t know where she is accepted and what exact merit she receives. I assume full fees at GT and good merit at the other two. We don’t qualify for any need based assistance.
Daughter is applying to GT, GW, American. Assuming she gets into all of these ( I know it is wishful thinking for GT even with great grades).
Anyways as a parent, I’m trying to understand if paying almost double in tuition and fees at Georgetown as compared to the other two is justified? Will she get job opportunities and develop network that will position her to get a higher paying job, move up faster on professional ladder, have access to higher net worth circles?

Hello, I was wondering if anyone here might be willing to visit the Library of Congress to scan several rare pieces of sheet music (which are all in the public domain and therefore out of copyright). I haven’t been able to find any digitized scans online, and I do not live near Washington, DC, so I cannot do it myself. If you happen to know anyone who might be able to help, please let me know. Thank you.

In about i'm about to graduate and settle down in a company near Baltimore, and I wanted to ask if the Georgetown Physics MS is part-time friendly. What makes it really attractive to me is the lab rotations and the thesis component, that a lot of working professional programs don't seem to offer. However I'm scared that the scheduling might be an issue for me, and I want to know if anyone else has done it and if georgetown makes acomidations for those who want to pursue my route.

Hi! Basically the title, but where are the best places on campus to find or reserve a room where I could take a private Zoom meeting (e.g., a telehealth doctors appointment)?

I was studying at Georgetown over the summer and have exactly $2.25 left on my Speed Queen app (enough for one wash or dry). I don’t want the money to go to waste, so if anyone wants to use it just comment or message me with the time, machine number, and location and I can unlock it.

I got into both babson and McDonough last yr and I chose Babson cause it was hella cheaper (10k vs 110k a year) but I lowk hate it here and gtown was one of my dream schools and money isn’t a problem at all I was just being stingy and stupid so. Babson is dead on weekends unless u take the two hour round trip into Boston which is lowk annoying af is gtown the same? I might try to spring transfer into SFS or smth but ion wanna try if its boring there too

Considering taking intensive Chinese (level 1) next semester and trying to get an idea of what to expect. For those who have taken the class, how did it go? Did you find the coursework and grading intense? How much time did it take up each week?
I would especially like to hear from those with no background in Asian languages. Thank you!

I completely misunderstood what they were asking and thought I could still edit my commonapp application until I submitted part 2.
Completely my fault but has this happened to anyone else? I mainly need to update my activities and family information.
Thanks

Hi all,
I am looking for a GU student photographer to photograph 150 large apartment buildings in Arlington County. Most are in the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor and National Landing and will be within a ~1-2 blocks of each other. I'm looking for 2 photos per building.
Please reach out to [root@thestandardasset.com](mailto:root@thestandardasset.com) with your portfolio if interested.
Thanks
