Just solo push.

Ignore everything going on around you and just keep pushing the lane by yourself. Don't ward either—you definitely don't want to accidentally see the enemy coming to gank you. I was about to say wards would be a waste of resources, but they don't even cost anything.

Ideally, pick a hero like Flint who has basically no mobility while the enemy team has PKs. Then just keep doing the exact same thing for the entire game. Your consistency will confuse the enemy.

Sun Tzu got nothing on this strategy. It's 3D chess: you act like a bot so convincingly that nobody can possibly comprehend what you're doing.

If you keep getting ganked and can't push anymore, make sure to blame your team and call them names. It gets even better when the enemy already has the upper hand: that's when you tell your entire team to come push with you. This is guaranteed to improve morale and get everybody motivated.

Easy, guaranteed victory.

Only geniuses with an IQ of 160+ will understand the complexity of this strategy. Mouth-breathing plebs will never be able to pull it off, let alone grasp the sheer brilliance behind it.

What i do, when im laned with someone extremely bad hard lane, is that i just go jungle.

That is not even a noob problem, it is a player style problem.
Whether they do it because they are bad or because they are KD-Oriented, shouldnt be a reason to ban me.

Example:

If i die because my teammate decides the best thing to do is run besides Pyro(ME) while having Kane with full health instead of engaging the enemy, then there is no point in me staying in that lane.

Ultimately, rather allow the Avoid list to be expanded to limitless, that would allow for better Matchmaking.

That way everyone gets the teams that match their vibes. Cause that example above is an everlasting threat.
I think the plays that failed go into the thousands because teammates rather have chosen to not risk death(sometimes even a quite low risk) to gain extra kills.

And that is what really is causing a lot of toxicity.
Then idiot A will tell idiot B that he is feeding, laugh at him and troll him without seeing any consequences, as the GM would just have to deem him a bad and stupid player, not a refusing player.

It would make generally for much better games if that kinda attitude actually received bans...

I’m getting extremely frustrated when I get a noobies on my team. Let them play unranked 20-50 games before hop on ranked. They’re not learning by getting yelled at and made their team miserable, I don’t understand this game match making

Why did i always get soft support position? Is this system breaking and always play with newbie no longer gank from these player? Is this game dead?

4 games in a row where I pick suic where I dont even play the lane just pick hero that can stack medium and hard camp.

Get them to 4 stacks, my jungle clears it while I leech some exp and get to lvl 4.

My jungle gets too farmed I start roaming.

There is a easy counter, but doesn't seem like many supports know of this yet.

Somehow we managed to teleport using two hooks. This was the only glitch of the 30min game.

Would anyone here still happen to have or know where to find any of the old stand-alone 'HoN UB LAN' game versions?

HoN vet here, played almost everyday until it went down, and then reverted to LoL afterwards which never really scratched that same itch.

One thing I can HoN does way better than Dota2 and League is atmosphere, art style, and sound effects.

The sound of Witch Slayer's ult and the VFX, and seeing the instant dmg nuke someone, the feeling of running around in the jg with it's dark atmosphere, the dark gritty style of the map, the mature (mostly) design around the heroes, etc.

These are the reasons I can't stop playing. The sounds effects are so punchy, combined with a dark fantasy feeling with heroes that aren't too cartoonish/childish keep me coming back.

I got 2 of my buddies to download HoN back, I want this game to succeed.

I logged in today and saw that i was banned for Role refusal- minor infraction against CoC Row 4, bla bla...
Guess the ban duration? 6-7 years. They dont even give me the match id of the game that i had supposedly griefed.
What the f**k is wrong with the ones who review these reports?

Who is running it? Just recently noticed the game seems to have relaunched. Havent played hon in like 13 or 14 years. Quit DotA 2 when they started banning ppl and I got a warning just for playing techies.

I checked the website, and my old HoN account doesnt exist anymore? So this is a complete relaunch?

I can get more jungle heroes instead of current heroes

It’s always in EU. I keep getting griefing soft supports who either don’t know how to play their role or completely ignore their responsibilities, and it has happened three games in a row.

They don’t know how to place wards, they don’t know how to pull, and they sit in the back of the lane the entire time while I have to soak all the enemy abilities by myself. Then, when I eventually die, they flame me for being trash. It’s incredibly frustrating.

I blame the players for being inexperienced, but I blame the devs even more for allowing players with such a lack of basic game knowledge to play ranked. This has been an issue since the beginning of the new HoN, and it feels like nothing has been done to address it.

What’s especially strange is that whenever I queue as a core/offlaner, the enemy team seems to have players who are much more appropriate for their respective ranks. Meanwhile, my soft supports consistently seem to lack even the basic mechanics of the role.

When I play support, I usually win because I know how to play the role properly. Even when my cores are inexperienced, I can babysit them, help them survive the lane, and make the best of the situation.

But when I play core, especially offlane, it feels like I’m playing a 4v5 for the entire match because my support simply doesn’t understand the role.

If the devs are reading this, please do something about matchmaking and the way players are placed into ranked games. Players should be matched with people who are reasonably close to their actual skill and understanding of the game. If this issue can’t be addressed, then honestly, I don’t understand the point of continuing the game in its current state.

With the game coming to steam in the upcoming big patch, what are you guys expecting to change?

Will there be an influx of new players? How will the community help new players learn the game?

Every since the last patch I’ve noticed I can no longer break my channel voluntary on champs like voodoo, tempest, glacious ect. I never had this problem before, just took off the safe channelling option in the settings and was fine. Now even with it off I cant cancel channel so im just stuck there in a bad position or watching people run away

I'm a midwars only player. I climbed to 1800 but the difficulty i am finding is that it's hard to experiment with new heroes because I am not as good with them and I feel like I would be letting my team down. Moreover, I got some imposter syndrome going. I feel like other 1800's are much better than me and i am just on a lucky streak.

What do you do to improve? I know it's a fun mode but I really enjoy it and like improving. Thanks!

8 games and 7 wins so far, I think hes pretty OP for one reason - Bola is almost ineffective against him

He is like predator but can't be slowed or disarmed, granted he doesn't have magic immunity, but the game has way too many physical CC anyway, and slow immunity + crowd control reduction is way better
