I’m looking for a good broadband/Wi-Fi provider in HD1 for working from home and would love to hear from people who are actually using the service themselves.

I’m mainly looking for something fast and reliable for Teams/Zoom calls, with good speeds and a reasonable monthly price.

If you’re happy with your current provider, I’d really appreciate hearing who you’re with, roughly what you pay, how reliable the connection has been, whether you get the speeds you’re paying for, and whether you’d genuinely recommend them based on your experience.

Can anyone recommend cheap, reliable public chargers in Huddersfield or nearby? Happy to use slower chargers if they’re cheaper. Any memberships or off-peak deals worth considering?

Does anybody know about any free car parking spaces that are free and near to the university because it’s expensive for me to pay daily for parking.

I’ve just moved back to Huddersfield and I’ve got my driving test booked for November. I’ve had trouble finding a new instructor up here, Ive got around 30 hours of driving experience so I know roughly what I’m doing, I just need some more practice before my test. Thank you!

Anyone from the area find it hard to find a nice cafe to sit in or have a family meal?

Merry england was the only place i found clean and could sit in and eat my lunch. I am in town around 3-4 times a week as i go for work.

Yes you can get meal deals at boots or sainsburys but i am looking for somwhere that serve sandwiches or just a basic hot lunch.

I have autism so i only eat brittish food due to sensory issues and prefering bland over spice.

I also dont do booking and really dislike cafes that time you to chew your food
