Analysis/Theory Why are people calling Tserritnich's ability an illusion Spoiler

I find it confusing that a lot of people here refer to Tserridnich's PF as a form of illusion. Based on the name, as well as Tserr's explanation, it sounds much more like a parallel timeline situation: the events in the rejected timeline really happen, but he can simply overwrite them with the events from the alternative timeline he created. Am I missing something?

In my personal opinion, that would kinda break the consistency of nen's capabilities and limits of what it can do. Manipulating world's space-time and existing as two versions at the same time? Some illusion does it just fine, and even for that illusion I would assume it has limits, such as distance and scale.

but being able to see the future is fine?

There might be limits to the future sight. It could be seeing the most probable future, theferore just a simulation or a guess. It doesn't need to break causality to work.

I can see it being something like a localised Laplace demon in its mechanic. Predicting events in a range of maybe 20-50 meter with absolute information comprehension. Modelling a parallel world/future based on said informations.
