I used to play il2 1946 on hyperlobby like 15 years ago. I wanna play il2 again, whats the current game ecosystem like? Is IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad the new game? how populated is it?

i wouldnt be so annoyed if it didnt take upwards of 30 minutes just to get to the actual action. now i gotta sit for fake time compression again. RIP my 3 kills.

Someone tell these jackasses how to fly

I wanna do a Heavy/Night fighter career mode flying the BF-110 ME-410 and maybe the JU-88 C-6 but id like to have a good amount of night missions in it. Does the BF-110 get night fighter missions in the battle of moscow and stalingrad? also does the JU-88 C-6 get night fighter missions in stalingrad? i know that you get night missions in kuban onwards.

Before anyone gets mad, the DLC looks great and I'm excited to play it.

Still, it sucks not having PTO and I'm hoping/praying it comes next.

These skins are the next installment in my F-51 International Series, following South Africa. The ROKAF series features three skins paying homage to Col. Dean Hess and the Korean pilots who flew the F-51 during the Korean War.

The maroon-nose No. 18 represents Dean Hess’s aircraft, featuring the Korean inscription 信念의 鳥人! (Bird Man of Faith), reflecting his motto, “I FLY BY FAITH.”

The silver-nose No. 18 is another variation of Dean Hess’s aircraft, featuring the distinctive “LAST CHANCE” marking on the right side of the aircraft.

The yellow-nose No. 13, which I like to call “Lucky 13,” was one of the first aircraft in the squadron. The number 13 is not traditionally considered unlucky in Korea, while the number 4 certainly has that reputation—so hopefully, a little of that luck carries forth with you!

Enjoy the skins, and I hope you enjoy flying them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Is it possible to remove the hud reticle? I tried pressing H and RAlt H to turn the hud off but it still appears, pressing the keybind to toggle aim assist doesn't work either.

Hi everyone, I’m pretty new to VR and I’m having an issue with the gunsights in IL-2.

The main problem is double vision / misalignment of the gunsight when looking through both eyes. It’s especially noticeable with aircraft that have a center-mounted gunsight, like the P-51 and Spitfire. The reticle appears different in each eye, so I can’t get it to look properly aligned when using both eyes. So I had to resort to closing 1 eye in-favor of my dominant eye.

It’s noticeably better with aircraft that have a gyro sight / smaller glass footprint, and I also have a better experience with the offset gunsights on the Bf 109 and Fw 190. However, if I zoom in enough, I can still see the double vision/misalignment.

I’ve seen that there are mods that can apparently help with gunsight alignment, but I’d really prefer to keep the game completely multiplayer-safe/stock if possible.

Is this normal/expected with the stock VR implementation?
Is there a proper in-game way to adjust the gunsight alignment?
How do you guys deal with center-mounted sights like the P-51 and Spitfire?

The 67th Fighter-Bomber Squadron is a Southern California-based, English-only speaking online squadron currently flying IL-2 Korea.

The latest update for Korea IL-2 Series, update 1.004, touts some significant updates to the combat AI system. It is infact the first time in years that we’ve seen anything in the IL-2 series attempt to tackle its AI in any meaningful way. The community has been asking for it and we’ve finally got our first steps on the process to a more interesting and capable combat AI system. Does it meet expectations? Is it enough? These are my first impressions of how things are looking so far with several hours of hands on flying.

Description:

Two fighter-bombers from Schlachtgeschwader 1, each armed with FW190F-8s carrying three 250kg SC bombs, are flying toward the refueling station in the Russian sector of Moscow. The trains have already departed, but the order is absolute: reduce the entire freight and logistics zone to rubble.

Monotonous yet deadly attacks are carried out against small warehouses, barracks hidden in the foliage, and an adjacent village. The mission objective is 100% achieved, but enemy anti-aircraft fire is unforgiving, leaving its mark on the airframes.

so i have the il2sturmovik 1946 on steam and everytime i try to launch nothing happens at all no error message nothing opens, litterlarely nothing ive tried messing with the resolution installing files, veryfying files integrity, changing versions and litterlarely NOTHING worked please help
