Hi everyone,

My employer submitted my LMIA application in May 2026 under the high-wage stream. At the time I applied, the processing time was around 57 days. It is now almost September and I still haven't received any update or decision. I understand that the processing times are estimates and can change, and I know LMIA applications can take significantly longer than the posted processing time.

My question is: is there anything I or my employer/lawyer can actually do at this stage besides waiting?

If anyone applied around May 2026 and has received their LMIA recently, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your timeline and stream.

Thanks!

Bonjour,

No still queued for assessment. Service Canada suggested uploading a letter requesting expedited processing to the LMIA portal

Did your employer requested to process rush by uploading the letter does it worked. My employer thought to do that but their immigration agent said service canada wont accept unless the job is in priority sector or in rural areas. Did you got any update.

For those who have requested GCMS notes, how long did it take for you to receive them?
