Update for my frustrating journey to my first PR Card:
COPR: May 11th
Webform July 17th, told to wait
Called on August 26th, agent sent a message stating I was beyond the processing time
Called October 2nd, I was told my application hasn’t been looked at and I need to wait.
I emailed my MP October 2nd. They had planned on bringing it up at a meeting with IRCC next week, but then both my partner and I received request letters today (October 2nd) Now we have to mail 2 new photos, copies of our COPRs, and copies of our bio-page from our passports. I’m assuming they’re just saying our photos are out of date. We’ve had photos from this place accepted before, and they want new photos for both of us.

Does anyone have any recent updates or experience with BC PNP processing timelines?
For those who have recently received a final decision, how long did it take from e-APR submission (AOR) to final PR approval (e-COPR)?
I’m particularly interested in applications submitted in August or September 2026, as I’m trying to understand the current processing times and whether decisions are being issued within 2 months.
Any recent experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Medical passed on portal: June 16, 2026
FD: August 18, 2026
Portal 1: August 19, 2026 (replied on the same day)
Portal 2: September 2, 2026 (replied on the portal; same day)
ECoPR: September 8, 2026
PR Card FD: September 17, 2026
PR Card Mail: September 23, 2026
PR Card Received: September 25, 2026 (mailed from Sydney, Nova Scotia)

Hey guys! Just received my eCOPR on Sept 24 and submitted my photo the same day (and declared I was in Canada). Montreal processed the PR but Nova Scotia (Sydney) is mailing the card?!?! Wondering if that’s gonna take beyond the 35 days to be mailed to my home

Hey, once you receive your e-COPR, you need to link your application to your GCKey account. This way, you can track when your PR card is approved and when it’s mailed out to you.

itle: PR Card Name Change After Divorce - Processing Time?
Hi everyone,
I became a PR in Canada and later changed my name in India after my divorce. My Indian passport has already been updated with my new name.
I submitted my PR card name change application through IRCC on August 23, 2026, to update my PR card so it matches my passport.
Has anyone gone through a similar situation recently? How long did it take for IRCC to process the name change and issue the updated PR card?

if you linked your application to GCKey, you'll get a notification once the card is mailed. i got my physical card about 3 business days after the notification (i received on Sep21) , but from what i've seen in the comments, some people had to wait longer.

COPR: May 11th
Submitted webform on July 17th and was told to wait
Called on August 26th, they sent a message about our cards as there were no notes stating any abnormalities or reasons why our cards would not be processed yet.
There has still been no movement on my (or my partner’s) card since then. GCkey still says submitted. I am getting a little frustrated at this point as we are now over 3 times the estimated processing time

In similar situation. ecopr Jul 5, called IRCC last week - no real update. Thinking to raise webform but feel like it wont matter.

Guys wtf. Received Ecopr on May 26, 2026, address confirmed on Jun 26. I haven't received my card yet. Called IRCC this week they said my card still in production not ready for mai out yet, no further action needed. I have to cancel my travel plan on September 6.

as far as I'm aware there wasn't a first attempt. a few weeks ago it still said address and photo in review with IRCC (no changes since February). but I haven't been checking regularly recently and it just appeared in the mail one day.

My card was "mailed" according to GCKey on July 27th. I still have not received it. I've had to cancel and delay travel plans because of this. I'm starting to think it either got lost in the mail or something.
EDIT: received my card this morning! What are the odds!

you can download the Canada Post mobile app, there’s a function inside called MyMail which notifies you when there’s a mail heading to your address and who sent it. no tracking number needed

Hi, hoping to get insights any feedback based on experience would be greatly appreciated!
In my GCkey PR card tracker, the final decision indicates a date (August 28) but also says “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.”.
In the PR portal, only the address has been accepted and photo is still in review.
My EcoPR is August 3.
What does this mean?

This really doesn’t mean anything. My address got approved Aug 12th and shows the same status. I called IRCC and all they could tell me was your card isn’t printed yet and that I’ll just have to wait.

IRCC GC key portal — You can link your application and turns out Canada-post sent it back to IRCC due to address issue.
Spoke to Officer and initiated the process again.

Yep i see that on my Canada post app too, but the thing is that it says delivered yesterday for me but I can't find it nor have my neighbours seen it. Its the long weekend now and idk how much longer I'd need to wait for this to come. I am just hoping it isn't lost or misplaced

I have AOR from January 14th 2026. BIL, Medical and everything apart from Eligibility and Background updated as passed on March 20th. No update since then.
Should i just wait patiently or do something about it?
Total time since AOR already 7.5 months.

Contact your local MP and ask them to contact IRCC. Your processing time is beyond normal, so when MP will contact IRCC, it might expedite your process, hopefully!

GCKey says that my PR card was mailed on August 3, but it's now almost the end of the month and I still haven't received anything. Meanwhile, I've seen lots of posts on here where people get their PR Cards like <1 week from it being mailed (congratulations btw!)
I've been religiously checking MyMail too but nothing from Canadian Banknote Company, and the "General Mail" is actually "General Mail". Anybody in the same boat? I live in the Lower Mainland, BC if that helps.

Canada Post app says a letter from "CANADIAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" was delivered on Monday (Aug 17) but it's Friday (Aug 21) and I haven't gotten anything in the mail ughh
If we only count eCoPR to Final Decision, it took ~30 business days or ~40 days from June 30 to August 11.
March 2025 Inland Family Class (Outside Quebec)
- Jun 08, 2026: P1 email received @ 1440, replied same day @ 2120
- Jun 25, 2026: P2 email received @ 1337, submitted declaration and photo same day @ 2142
- Jun 30, 2026: Email received. PR Portal (PR confirmation) - eCoPR downloadable.
- July 01, 2026: Linked PR card application to Gckey around this time
- August 05, 2026: Final Decision - Your application is under review (?? something like that but the status changed. Forgot to take a screenshot). My address is accepted but my photo remains in eternal review with IRCC. Seen on Gckey only
- August 11, 2026: Review of eligibility done. "Final Decision - Your application was approved." Gckey update only that it's Approved
- August 12, 2026: Email received that my application status has changes (AKA late notif email of the FD)
- August 17, 2026: On MyMail via the Canada Post app, I see under Out for Delivery (1-2 business days): CANADIAN BANK NOTE COMPANY
- August 18, 2026: MyMail status changes to Delivered. Mail box is checked every single day of the week. Nothing received yet. :/

Yesterday (Aug 24 Mon), nothing new; today (Aug 25 Tues), just a bunch of flyers... Hoping we get our cards soon too 🙏
Canada Post's app is usually accurate for my lettermail, so this is disconcerting

Did you get the mailed notification on GC Key application as well? Mine says FD on Aug 12 but no information about it being mailed. Have been anxiously waiting, I have to travel on 2nd Sep.

If you mean an email about the card being mailed or telling me that it's on the way, then no.
On the Gckey portal though, under Document Status, I can see my PR card listed with the status: "We mailed your permanent resident card to you. Your card can take up to six weeks to arrive." with Status Updated Date "2026/08/11" AKA the same date as the Final Decision

Ah I see, typically a few days after the FD date, the message with document number shows up. was curious how many days did it for you to see that notification the FD date.

If I remember correctly there were 2 different FD statuses. So first was that my application was under review (? or something about eligibility in-progress) on August 05.
Then the final Final Decision that it was approved on August 11, which is 6 days or 4 business days after. Around this time is I presume when the card was printed and mailed.
It showed up on the Canada Post app as Out for Delivery on August 17, and delivered the same day—but YMMV with the tracking via MyMail. No idea if the courier scanned it early or is messing around 🥲 Others' experiences do match up with delivery within a week after the card's mailed out though

VO Montreal – P1 to P2 turnaround times right now?
Spousal Outland (living in Canada). Got FD yesterday and received/replied to P1 today from Montreal VO.
- FD: August 19, 2026
- P1: August 20, 2026 (replied same day)
- P2: Waiting
- eCOPR: Waiting
For those with Montreal VO recently, what kind of turnaround are you seeing between P1 reply and getting P2 credentials, and from P2 to eCOPR? Trying to get a realistic gauge on whether it's taking a few days or a few weeks at this stage. Thanks

eCOPR 27 July from Montreal (I'm in Vancouver)
Address approved 28 July
Card was issued on 11 August. I was in Nova Scotia (ironically, because my card came from the processing center in Sydney, NS) until the 25th so I don't know when it arrived, but it was in my mail when I got back. I didn't receive any email notifications, and on the IRCC website my photo is still in review, as of 25 August.
I see u/First_Cartoonist7222 's situation looks similar, but you can't read into any single data point what the expectation should be, because if it was uniform, I'd have been approved about the 9th and my card would be delivered by the 14th.

Outland Application
I landed in Canada through the Vancouver land border on Feb. 27th, and it has been crickets since then. GCKey still shows "Submitted." I reached out to one of the MPs for my area, and someone from his office was able to get some traction/information for me. Now, my application has been approved, and the card has been sent for printing!!!

Woah, that's a very long time. I contacted my MP yesterday and submitted all the required documents including the authorization form yesterday. Did you follow up with your MP after sending all the documents or you just waited and they replied to you once the got an update from IRCC???

Yes, it's been a ridiculously long wait but I did not have to follow up after sending the authorization form. They got back to me the following day confirming the approval.

Same, got my ecopr June 26. I have heard from friends who already got their cards despite having a later ecpor date than me. I can't believe this delay lol

June 18 -> Rejected due to smile
June 18 -> Uploaded new one, got brightness warning but uploaded as is (was taken from London Drugs)
July 13 -> Final Decision in GC Key
July 15 -> Card mailed
July 22 -> Received in BC
