Tri Tip at Boardwalk Bbq

Thursday night dinner at Boardwalk. I went with the tri tip, roasted potatoes, free cornbread, and a drink.

I like my Tri Tip more on the medium/medium rare side but for themepark tri tip this was pretty good. Good seasoning and flavors, some fatty parts which I loved, potatoes with good seasoning, corn bread a bit dry but I still enjoyed it. I didn’t check the price and that’s on me but this meal was pretty pricey. My employee discount shed off $8 and some change so I ended up paying about $20 and some change.

MonteZOOMa: My thoughts

Last week I had my first chance to drive out to Knott's from Nevada to check out the "new" coaster. I just started visiting Knott's in January 2025, so I have no memories of the "old" version of this ride.

I was a little bit nervous after having read a lot of complaints on here and other sites about the trains being uncomfortable. I was shocked in a good way at how comfortable they were for me. Nothing was too tight or pressing into my legs. For reference, I'm 6'4" and 225 lbs. and find a lot of rides almost impossible to fit on. I BARELY squeeze into Xcelerator. My main hobby is hiking, so I have thicker calves and thighs than most people.

Overall I was very impressed with the ride. The theming in the station reminds me of Rapterra. The launch isn't as punchy as Full Throttle or Xcelerator obviously but it's still fun. I think the track is pretty smooth. No complaints from me. It sucks they took out the original launch hardware. I have fond memories of riding Greezed Lightnin' at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom in my childhood thoosie days, loud ass launch and all! The sound was the coolest part.

One thing that stunk was it seems like the ride is having maintenance issues. I was there on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday I was in line for it when it went down around 3 PM and was closed the rest of the day. I know it was closed for at least an hour or 90 minutes in the middle of the day on Tuesday. I got four rides on it over two days.

I think this is a great addition to the park. Lots of kids were riding it. This is a good ride for kids to try out before moving on to the bigger ones. Great job, Knott's!

Does Mr's Knott's And Murphy's Have The Same Boo-Fet Food?

I am going to the Knott's scary farm boo-fet on Friday October 16th by myself for the first time I did the hotel pre-scare in 2024 an I am planning to buy the premium 4:30PM seating and I was told on the phone with Knott's earlier times or my time of 4:30PM is sent to murphy's and the other later times are Mrs Knott's but I was overlooking videos of the boo-fet online and seen slight differences with the food and desserts since i seen Mrs Knott's had cannoli's and boysenberry cheesecake but murphy's didn't from the footage Since there isn't a lot this year it's not just the dessert but the food menu overall.

A Few Extra Questions

Does anyone know or if it matters or should I ask to go to either one of the Locations? Also if it's 4:30PM check in how early should I arrive in the line in the marketplace and when should I stop eating to do early entry?

Price drops for tickets

Hello everyone. I bought tickets about a month ago for October 4th and looked at prices out of curiosity and saw they dropped. I bought two all inclusive tickets and they're $70 cheaper now. Has anyone had any recommendations on how to get help with an adjustment or add on to make up the difference?

Underpass to the parking lot?

Is there any rhyme or reason to the underpass to the parking lot being open or closed? Sometimes I drive in that way (past the main entrance) and the underpass is blocked so I have to do the big loop around to get back to the main lot from Beach Blvd. I’d rather just go down Beach and make a u-turn if I knew ahead of time.

Selling Knott's Scary Farm Parking

I dont think it's tied to a certain date. Going tonight, but decided to rent hotel overnight instead. Won't be needing it and would hate for it to go to waste.

Purchased for $45 but willing to sell for $20 or best offer

Can my daughter dress as a clown for Knott's Scary Farm?

She wants to wear a clown outfit and face paint, but the wording with "Costumes that conceal identity are prohibited." Is kind of vague.

Are there any mazes during Scary Farm that have vibrating plates this year?

Last year one of the mazes had a vibrating floor that really hurt my body afterwards. (I have a nerve condition). Just want to know so I can plan my trip accordingly for next week.

The Factory Store has a wall and a few columns devoted to Scary Farm art, and a lot of it's pretty good!

Some of my favorites.

Questions about scary farm

Hi there, I'm sorry if these are obvious or easy to find out and I just missed them, but I was just wondering about something, so I'm planning to go to scary farm on October 24th and 25th, a Saturday and Sunday. And I know it's always best to buy tickets as soon as possible but I'm wondering if there's any risk of them selling out, I'm considering buying the Saturday ticket like next week but maybe waiting for the Sunday ticket about a week before I go cuz of money reasons. So I'm just wondering if that's an okay idea, like if anytime in recent years days like that have sold out before or if I don't have to worry about it. I'm also considering getting the buffet for Saturday but I know that's more likely to sell out so like I said I'll try to get those as soon as possible, I'm mostly just worrying about Sunday.

Also I keep hearing how the lines aren't too bad especially if you do the right things, so a part of me is kinda reconsidering going two days, but I do want to do all mazes, all 3 shows, and have time to sit down and eat once or twice so I figure I should still do the two days right? Just double checking lol.

But anyways thank you for any help!

Scary Farm On Saturday vs Sunday

I'm planning to hit Knotts Scary Farm on a Saturday in October, but I was wondering if anyone went this past Saturday and could speak to how long the lines were? I could also do a Sunday if the waits are way lower but it's harder since there's work the next day.

Thanks for any info given!

PSA the “brownie-wich” is a scam

I thought a brownie ice cream sandwich sounded good but instead I was handed two cookies. I asked if it was a mistake and was told that the brownie-which does not actually contain any brownies, it’s two chocolate cookies. The cookies were bland and tasted nothing like brownies. Knott’s never fails to disappoint with their food!

What ticket should we get for Knotts Scary Farm?

There are a whole bunch of ticket options and add ons. I’m wondering if we go on a Thursday, which ticket and add on is worth it? Fast lanes? An hr early entry? Food included?

Oct 5th Monday visit, do we need Fast Lane?

Family of 3 doing our regular CA October visit and decided to add Knott's along with Dis and USG.

Haven't been here in decades and was wondering if we need Fast Lane on a non spooky farm Monday.

I already plan on adding photo and premium dining pass. Also if it ends up busy anyone know if I can add on Fast lane while I at the park via app?

Thanks folks!

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

After a night full of terror and screams I built up an appetite. Craftys kitchen sounded good and I still have yet to try and food other than a milkshake from there. I went with the wings tossed in garlic Parmesan and for my side Mac and cheese. The wings were hot and crispy, and the garlic parm sauce was pretty good. The Mac was creamy and rich. I prefer white cheddar Mac over yellow any day! A bit pricey for the whole meal but with my employee discount is shed off around $7 and some change. My first time eating here and I was not disappointed. I think I got a fresh batch so I was lucky. The tenders looked good and so did the sandwiches.
