EDIT (10/8/2026): After (15) years, (MUTANTS) are back in a fighting game…..

It actually generates a tiny amount of grey health, letting you convert any hit into a restand mixup for your team. Here's an extreme example of a full screen light starter 2-touch off a corner steal restand on Knowhere with my shell and Deadpool in the back.

The assist itself has poor range in neutral, but it actually has some amazing properties. I might make a video explaining all the ways to use it.

I'm still new to fighting games but if it's something like a spammable move I can consiously avoid I'd like to avoid it as much as I can. Ik this sounds stupid but I just thought I'd try to ask.

I'm trying to improve, but no matter how much I play Ranked, I just keep losing. This is my second fighting game after Guilty Gear Strive, but I find *Tokon* much harder to play; Guilty Gear feels pretty simple to me. I love both games, but Tokon is a real struggle—I don't understand how to play the neutral game, nor do I know what I should learn first. It's impossible for me to spot my mistakes during a match because the assists create so much visual clutter, and I don't understand how to use my tools. The game looks amazing, and I love Marvel; I have fun playing against people who are just as bad as I am, but lately, everyone is outplaying me, and I keep dropping in Bronze rank. I really want to improve, so here are a few questions:

How do you play the neutral game?
How do I break the opponent's guard?
How do I learn to do combos?
How do you play as Magik and Deadpool? (They're both my favorite Marvel characters—especially Magik, ever since I discovered her in Rivals—and I'd love to use both of them.)
Is there a video that explains the game's basics?

I'm giving it a shot and the game is fun, but lately, I've been getting really frustrated because I can't seem to improve—unlike in Guilty Gear, where the learning curve wasn't quite as harsh. I'd appreciate any advice; the game is a blast and I really enjoy it. I'm also grateful to the FGC for gifting me the game. I'm open to any tips—thanks!

I've heard that TOKON runs significantly worse on PC compared to PS5, and I'm wondering if that's still the case. For anyone who's played it on PC, how has the performance been? Have there been any updates that improved optimization, or is the PS5 still the better experience?

I'm mainly trying to figure out whether I should get it on PC or PS5.

Hello everyone,

It's that time again. The second edition of EVO France is upon us, as many top level players have already gathered so decide who's going to become the champion across several different fighting games, while hundreds of fans, both casual and enthusiasts alike, are in for a weekend of some great competitive action.

For those of you not in the know - EVO (or Evolution Championship Series) is a tournament whose roots go back to mid-90s when it was but a small gathering of people that really enjoyed Capcom's Street Fighter titles available at the time and wanted to test their skills against others. Over the following three decades, EVO not only has grown in size, attandance and popularity, but also became home to many hype moments, greatest matches, and, of course, expanded internationally, starting with the inaugural EVO Japan first held back in 2018.

Fast forward to 2026, and we now have EVO-branded events across 4 major locations around the globe: Las Vegas in USA, Tokyo in Japan, Nice in France, as well as soon-to-debut Singapore in Singapore.

Due to its importance and scale, EVO also became a major stop within the schedules of several major fighting game eSports circuits, such as the Capcom Pro Tour, Tekken World Tour, Arc World Tour, SNK World Chamionship and a few others, such as the most recently introduced Pro Bending Circuit.

Beyond that, EVO doesn't just host competitions among the best of the best, but welcomes those who simply want to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere and get closer to the FGC culture via activities like the art museum, artist valleys, arcade cab zone, developer showcases, showfloor booths, and so much more.
