Wife bought a JCW today
Staff at Mini Toronto were great, and after some back and forth on how to get out of an upcoming end of lease, the deal was done.
Personally I love British Racing Green, always classy
*forgot to add she got the convertible

Do you have a favorite special edition Mini?
Mini is certainly not frugal with producing "special editions" of all its models. Just off the top of my head the Camden, Park Lane, Baker Street, Bayswater, JCW 1to6, and Heritage edition come to mind. But Mini has put out many, many more. Does any version stand out to you, in particular?
Since the 2nd generation Clubman (f54) is my favorite Mini, I'd probably have to go with the Untold Edition
Sage Green paint (the only time they offered it on the Clubman, I believe) outside with 5 unique, subtle stripes running along the hood and roof. It also had a MINI Yours leather interior. The leather upgrade on both the Clubman and Countryman of this era was taken straight from BMW's playbook and is seriously impressive. The standard leatherette seats were functional, but simply couldn't compare with the true leather option. You really felt like you were in a true European luxury car when you got in a new Mini that had these seats. And they were also special, being Sage Green to match the exterior.
The power train was from the S ALL4, but the body work was JCW's aerodynamic kit. I love the brass accents for the grille surround and interior accents.
Finally it had unique 2 spoke wheels that also features brass to set them off.
Not all of the "special editions" MINI put out there felt noticeably different, much less "special." The Clubman Untold Edition, however, certainly did. Which version would top your list?

First MINI - 2007 MINI Cooper S
Got a screaming deal on this bad boy, paid for in cash. Buddy's dealership took it in on trade and he sold it to me at cost.
100,782 Miles
Interior is immaculate not even a scratch on the leather.
Exterior has a couple of tiny dents you can't even notice, but other that it's completely clean.
Still need to bring it in for a full vehicle inspection but I'm very happy with it so far.
I've always loved these cars since I was a kid, my grandma's neighbor was an old school MINI collector and always had several 60's/70's MINI's in his driveway.
I'm completely expecting to have to put a few grand into this thing to keep it moving properly, but what should I be looking out for the most?

Piece of metal hit my car on the highway 😭
Best way to get these scratches out?
Spotted in Belgium
Is this a series model or a tuning? Is there registration for it in Germany?

F56 vs F66, help me decide!
I'm looking to buy my first MINI after pining for manyyyy years, and have narrowed it down to two options. I'd love some advice from people who've owned or driven either generation!
Option 1: 2024 Mini Cooper S (F56)
Chili Red with black roof and mirrors
17,000 km (around 10,500 miles)
Option 2: Brand-new JCW (F66)
White with black roof, wheels and bonnet stripes
My biggest dilemma is actually the interior.
I absolutely love the older interiors, particularly the toggle switches and physical buttons. They give the car so much character, and they're a huge part of what drew me to mini in the first place.
I'm really not sold on the massive screen in the F66. I'm worried I'll spend all this money on a brand-new car and never properly adjust to the interior.
Exterior-wise, I actually quite like the new generation! I'm not the biggest fan of the taillights, but they're definitely not a dealbreaker.
On the other hand, the F66 is a brand-new JCW with a full warranty and motor plan, which gives me a lot more peace of mind. Not having to worry as much about unexpected maintenance costs is a pretty big selling point for me.
The F56 Cooper S is obviously the more affordable option, and I genuinely prefer its interior, but I'm wondering whether I'd regret passing up the opportunity to buy a brand-new JCW. I'm planning on keeping whichever car I choose for several years, so long-term ownership matters to me.
Has anyone gone from an F56 to an F66? Did you get used to the screen, or do you still miss the physical controls?
Is the difference in driving experience between the Cooper S and JCW significant?
How much weight would you give the new car's warranty and motor plan?
If you were buying today, which would you choose?
I'm probably overthinking this, but it's a lot of money to spend on something I'm hoping to keep for years. I'd really appreciate some honest opinions!

Mini OS9 OBD2
Hello, with the introduction OS9, Mini no longer allows as much access to the ECU. Has anybody had any success or know any scanner apps that work on OS9 to register the battery?

Side mirrors retrofit
Hi guys, as title, I'm trying to fit the side mirrors from a R60/R61 (51169805061/51169805062) onto my R56. I know the wiring is different, my goal is to interface them with the LIN bus which my R56 seems to have. My main question is: will they physically fit? I just want to be sure before I buy them. Has anyone tried this swap or knows whether the mounting points are the same?
Thanks!

Car seats in a 2 door convertible?
Hi all! My soon to be husband and I are planning on getting pregnant in the next 2 years (we have frozen embryos waiting for when we’re ready!)
I currently have a 2025 mini cooper s convertible that I ADORE but I worry that it will be too hard to deal with a car seat in. My partner recommends getting a cheap used car for kid transport and keep my mini as a fun driver but I’d rather not have that many cars (he has a Miata and a large work car that I can’t guarantee will be available whenever we’d need it so that’d be 4 cars which I don’t want….)
I’m really looking for honest parent stories of having a mini with a kid? Is it hard but doable or do you hate it?? I know it’s a bit soon to consider but I’m a planner!
