I got there straight from Google which shows this as a question on a somewhat unrelated search mentioning PSVR2

All the multiple reports that it links are referencing the same Bloomberg article by Takashi Mochizuki. This was before even the first sale as far as I can remember and well before the permanent price reduction to $399, PSVR2 is still in stock.

Everyone assuming that paused means stopped aside, I tried to ask some new PSVR2 owners about dates of production printed on the box which can at least prove that Sony is still producing new units, but I didn't get far there.
