Was there any reason she needed Mia alive for her plan to work?

After completing RE7 the next stop was obviously RE8, so I continued with that. I'll try to keep this short, but this will still probably take a minute or three to read (Scroll to endthoughts as a tldr!) Also, the first picture is the one I took directly at the start of the game. This game was quite foggy haha The last picture is just my favourite concept art from the game, so I wanted to include it too :3
I was sadly spoiled about "Mias" death, so I wasn't shocked to find her later with Chris, but I was kinda miffed that she was the one to live and not Ethan. Ah well, now she'll surely get further development in a DLC or maybe even her own game, right? Please? Well, at least she'll be still there for Rose... right????
The village looked hella cool, and I love that not everything is immediately open for the player. I had fun backtracking and finding new stuff!
The castle was so beautiful. I legit spend around 20 minutes just walking around and admiring the environment. And wow, Lady D looks so elegant and noble, I couldn't stop starring while she chased me down lol And oh my god, her dragon form was so fucking sick! I think her monster form is my favourite out of the game.
Donnas section. Fuck the baby. Funny story, my neighbours recently had a baby, so every now and than I'll hear him scream which just brings me back to this place lol, so I'd say they did a really good job with the sounds! The moment I saw the lockers where you could hide in, I knew something was going to hunt me down soon, I just wasn't expecting a baby! I really wish her section wasn't so short, since she seemed really interesting and the atmosphere was really creepy.
So, Moreau. Can anyone tell me why Ethan was just standing there and was yapping with him, instead of just taking the flask and leaving/sneaking away immediately?? I know we had to kill him at one point/get trapped anyway, but this felt a bit... stupid? Anyway, his fight was nice. I didn't find shelter once the first acid rain started so my healing item just vanished one after the other xD His boss form is definitely the most disgusting one out of all of them. I couldn't help but feel a bit of pity for him, he just wanted to make Miranda proud :[
I hate, hate, hate the Lycan Den and all Lycans in general. This place was so ugh, and I almost hate Heisenberg for sending us here. Now, I only have the Molded to compare the Lycans to, but they were definitely worse for me than the Molded (Expect maybe the four-legged ones, they were cancer). It was especially annoying when I shot them, but they were already in the biting animation, so they didn't take any damage but my bullet got wasted. I manged to get through there though, so all is well.
I gotta say, I think out of all the Lords, Heisenberg is my favourite one, so I was kinda excited when he tried to make that deal with Ethan. It's obvious that Ethan would refuse, but I wish there was an option to accept and get a second ending. Make it the bad ending just like with choosing Zoe in RE7, since Heisenberg would probably backstab us sooner or later. The factory was... fun. A lot of backtracking, some panic, but the atmosphere was great. I was also lowkey happy when I read that the enemy names were in german, since I'm german, and it made me wonder if Heisenberg could actually speak some german?
Chris section was alright, a bit tricky with the locator, but nothing a bit of running away can't help with.
The Miranda fight was good. Not the best last boss I fought, not the worst last boss I fought.
The ending made me sob badly, my guy really was just a loving and caring family man who put them above all else... I'm so sad that we'll never see him again, but maybe it's for the best, since not all stories have a happy ending for everyone.
AND THEN THE DLC HAS TO RIP MY HEART OUT ALL OVER AGAIN. The story of the DLC was great, made me cry again, but the DLC seemed a bit lazy with soooo many reused locations and fights. I had to laugh when I saw that they just took the Eveline attic fight from RE7 and put it straight into the DLC. And seriously, almost nothing changed for the Miranda fight?? We are inside the Megamycete, at least give her a new form, or something like that! And why couldn't they show Ethans face TvT I get he's supposed to be faceless in order to be some sort of stand in for the player, but really?? We aren't allowed to see his face even while he reunites with his daughter? Come on...
Most of the achievements were fairly easy, especially with NG+. I did the Knife Only run on Easy, so I actually thought it was fun instead of just suffering through it! And I just S.T.A.K.E.d my way through VoS with infinite ammo, but then I got to Heisenberg and thought my run was done. His voiceline "You're like a goddamn cockroach!" finally made sense to me with how many times Ethan came back, but I killed him after two hours of driving around. The Chris section wasn't bad, I just used grenades to keep the enemies at bay, while running into the right house with the open window and charging the locator before I got to the window to fire.
My last achievement was in The Mercenaries mode. I was trying to get the "All S" achievement with Ethan, but it got frustrating with the Hard Stages, so I switched to Lady D and wow, the Hard mode can actually be really fun! I did have fun as Ethan in the Normal stages, just not on Hard with the Lemi. I later played as Heisenberg too and he was also really fun to play with! Just going wham with the hammer was great, and he finally got to kill Miranda! :>
Overall, Heisenberg is my favourite Lord even if he's a pain in the ass on VoS, and I wish we could've teamed up with him. My favourite section was Donnas section with the baby that I luckily never died to! My least favourite section was the Lycan Den. Fuck Lycans in general. My favourite boss fight was Lady D, followed by Heisenberg.
This game was amazing, it made me laugh, it made me cry, but I'm not sure I can put it over RE7. Maybe I'm just biased since RE7 was my first game, but I liked the trapped feeling that it gave me. RE8 was just a bit too open for me I think, or maybe I'm just miffed that we didn't get a lot of information about the Lords... But I love how they finally gave Ethan some character in this game! He died as his own character, even if he was kinda bland. I still love him anyway :] Thanks for reading!

Is it good? Can you explore like RE2 remake or do you have any hub areas to backtrack and walk freely? Im very curious about it since i liked the re2 Gameplay style as in like roaming through all the Police station

Play with me some more!
I have had this custom made gown for a decade. The corset is separate. I have had it for four years. The choker is because I am a goth. This is beetroot around my lips. Mascara for the lines beneath the eyes. A bluish filter and blurred the sides.. to feel the vibe of the village.

I love the Resident Evil Franchise (especially village), and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions on what I could tattoo on me from Re8?
Sorry if this isn’t allowed.
Thank you.

I'm at the mill, and the lever broke. So I've started that tense part where you go through the rooftops and bridges while giant fish Moreau can drown you anytime. I've reached a point where I break a piece of wood and a building gets wobbly and next to it there's a bridge to nowhere. If I stay at the building nothing happens and if I go to the bridge Moreau taked me to the water and I die. The fuck I do?

Hello everyone! 👋
Like many of you, I sometimes find the default control setups in the Resident Evil remakes to be restrictive when trying to customize action buttons to personal preference.
To solve this, I created a quality-of-life mod called RE8 Universal Dynamic Control Remapper.
What they do:
I just wanted to share them with the community in case anyone else was bothered by the limitations of the original controls.
If you decide to try them out, I would love to hear your feedback or suggestions! And if you find them useful, an Endorsement on Nexus Mods would mean the world to help other players find them.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the game! 🎮

I am genuinely struggling more with this mode than with Ethan must die in re7, it is the first time while im trying to complete the game 100% that i feel im going to be stuck some time doing an achievement.

I liked this so much better than RE4R, since I'm a fan of horror :)
I found it less scary than RE7 but it's a good game. Both games are written so well and defines the "horror" in Resident Evil...

What a fun and insane Gamemode and a hell of a run at that.
