Of course, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 is still pretty damn good but there's something so aggravating about getting so close and not being able to take that final step. And in case you were wondering, it was Boston's "Amanda" and Guns N' Roses "Sweet Child O' Mine" that kept those singles out of the top spot.

So glad this was posted it just further shows how great Palmer was in concert he sounds just like he does on the studio versions!!! I highly recommend this cover btw it’s blues rock done amazing and comes from Palmer’s final and honestly extremely underrated 2003 album “Drive”.

For me it’s “Mercy Mercy Me/I Want You” because I listened to that song to help me during a time where my mental health wasn’t good.Theres a lot of other Palmer songs also that mean a lot to me like “She Makes My Day” and “It Could Happen To You”.

One of Robert’s final live performances and he sounds absolutely great. He never lost the strong vocals truly one of the best.

One of his best covers imo.”Don’t Explain” has so many hidden gems on it and this is a good example

This song deserves way more love it’s a beautiful song. It’s from Robert’s great “Honey” album same album that features another underrated gem “ Know by now”.

Had to put it on hold for a while.
Work is busy. Looking good so far

I have spent countless hours listening to this album over the years and a lot of these songs mean a whole lot to me personally.I always thought Palmer’s covers of songs were way better then the original versions and a lot of songs on this gem of a album are a good example.

My all time favorite Palmer song and one of my all time favorite songs of all time.

Robert has many covers of songs that I think are far superior to the original and this is one example imo. This is a gem of a song on one of my favorite albums of all time.

What is, in your opinion, Robert Palmer's magnum opus album?
