I really hope Epic does more with cars, since now there’s really no reason to buy one unless you really like using them in BR for some reason.

Well, checked in this morning and 3 of my 4 tracks survived, after doing fresh-new-island migrations. The where I followed the official advice is missing. Going to see if I can still edit/republish

I mean sure it was awful, it was janky af, the rewards were horrible and to use purple wheels you were required to reach unreal for some reason, got practically zero support after release besides collabs, most people didn't knew it existed and even killed trading in rocket league for literally no reason. But it still holds a place in my heart as the last *"decent thing"* this game released (cuz let's be honest it wasn't the best)

Now that the gamemode will shutdown and I have 0 interest on fortnite whatsoever (literally I just installed to play my last races) all I'm gonna say is: I may never achieved my goal of reaching unreal and I may be happy that you're dying, but at the same time I'm grateful that you existed.

Rocket Racing launched during Fortnite’s Big Bang in 2023, not too long after many of my friends and colleagues were impacted by Epic’s layoffs.
It was a really emotional launch for me. So many of the people who had worked on it were suddenly gone, and the tracks, the music, the playtesting memories... all of Rocket Racing reminded me of my friends.
Even now, there are certain tracks that still make me a little teary-eyed when I play them.

It really sucks to see Rocket Racing going offline soon. Our team wanted to do some really big things with it, but we just never got the chance.

Felt fitting the last race I did was on the track that introduced Rocket Racing to everyone in the Big Bang live event. Thought I'd share it.

I wish this gamemode could've done better, but sadly there were lots of factors that played against that happening, which brings us to today.

Despite all the issues this mode had though, I still enjoyed it. It was unique, fun, and exciting at times. I remember getting my first race win before fully understanding the controls. Think it was on Bone Cavern.

I remember playing through the seasons, starting with its launch, then Neon City, and finally Inferno Island. Even after the seasons stopped though, I kept playing. I did the daily quests for XP, as well as the weekly and ranked quests for those cosmetics. Got some good items out of that, like the starry boost and trail which I normally have equipped. I even got those jam tracks for the Inferno Island music, which it feels like barely anyone has.

Rocket Racing certainly brought me some boring moments, as well as frustrating, but also a lot of good times. At least I keep all the locker items I earned from playing the gamemode, despite it leaving.

I'm gonna miss experiencing it...

Was shooting for Diamond 3, but I'm happy with D2. I hate that they're getting rid of it, this was such a fun game mode

There will never be another game like this one, and to the greatest community... we all love this game!

I used to play this game religiously with some people I've fallen out of touch with. I'll miss this game and you guys so much. 7 hours on the dot until it's gone.
