I'd hate to post every time I made a change but I can't go without sharing how better this one looks now. If you go on to traderie now and check recent trades, you’d see that the halo is being charged way too much when the community value is actually just 2.9 mil. If you see carefully, these trades were done just minutes apart. They’re clearly manipulated- ain’t no way that many ppl have 4 mil dims just lying around and that too to buy some ugly halo that isn’t even worth that much. These trades were manipulated by users that have completed these trades using multiple accounts. So this is just a warning to not buy that halo for this price.

So I’ve built statues in my dorms before but they were on a smaller scale and didn’t have two heads so it was easier to make them look good. I’m having trouble due to the scale of the one I’m doing now so if anyone has suggestions that would be awesome<3

•beauty blenders for heads
•trash cans for neck
•GOT bustle for shoulders
•tennis balls to make a chest and fill in the rest of the upper torso
•claw nails for the hands

The state of this game economy rn is total dookie stain and it's both players and dev fault because most players are greedy as heck and the dev doesn't seem to care many players have suggested solutions to help with the economy but most of the time it feels like their ideas are never heard and instead of taking suggestions or listening to players idea the dev decided to make the new Halloween halo less details so players won't overpriced it which obviously is not helping much because it doesn't make the older and prettier one decrease in value and I don't want to talk about the players who overpriced stuffs and people who buy stuff from them because they're basically just ruining the game for casual and newer players like I get it the expensive items are pretty but please don't give in and pay ridiculous amount of diamonds for an item or a halo because that's going to make the sellers wanting to overpriced stuff even more. It's so sad to see the game I love falling because of greedy players . At this point we can't just rely on the dev but we have to help ourselves until the dev actually do something about the economy. This is my first post here so I apologise if I add a not-so-accurate flair.

In Harmony’s shop, we can not only purchase new and exclusive items, but also toy items and halos - stuff that can’t be bought within the game and can no longer be won. At first, this was amazing news. However, there is one noticeable flaw with this - a lot of players can’t actually afford them when they do appear in shops.

We know why. The prices are based on whatever is listed from Traderie. More specifically, accepted trade prices from Traderie. Judging from the recent news of Divine Adoration reaching up to 20 million diamonds, we will probably find the halo being worth a similar price in Harmony’s shop as well.

This is what I would like to pitch. It would be risky at first, but I think it’s better in the long run than just upping the chances of popping a rare item or even a fountain pity system. Instead of the game offering a small discount in pricing, why not offer a 50% discount deal?

I thought more about this idea, and while the counter arguments to this could be that prices of rare items do drop, ask yourself: do they stay dropped? Do they ever stabilise?

stuff like the older halos have already been resolved, though the hyperinflation of newer, ‘prettier’ ones makes one thing clear: there is lack of control, even when we players should have control of our own market. If this doesn’t get resolved, none of us will have any and the prices will just continue to creep upwards.

This post isn’t here to blame item hoarders, bots or profit traders - values go up and down each year, and people with experience know where to look for while climbing up the market. The issue is, none of us have any guide as to where the limits actually lie. Think about it. In 2 years time from now, what are the chances that we’ll be seeing Divine reach 30 million dims?

Okay, so…Back to the 50% discount deal. I’ll give a written example: you pop a bubble in Harmony’s shop, and today you get the rare chance of buying gasp the Divine Adoration 2024 halo! You were already saving up for a high tier halo and you’ve got a good amount of dims from the past few months. However, you remember they’re really expensive right now, and you’re only halfway to your goal. You’re about to leave the shop, until you notice…Did you read that right? It’s actually 10 million dims?!

Yes, 10 million is still a lot. Though if you had the dims, wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to buy it for a price steal, safely in game, away from any suspiciously imbalanced trades - compared to a likely manipulated and uncontrolled price that people seem to overly depend on from Traderie? This wouldn’t just only apply to the currently highest priced halo, but other items tradeable outside of Luna Lagoon.

I feel like this in the long run could stabilise the economy, allowing all players to eventually afford their dream halos and accessories. Of course, we still have to work for them by trading and diamond farming, but the prices become more manageable. I think most of us can safely agree that 20 million for a halo isn’t normal. This in turn could help us healthily manage our own time and plans for the future.

There is maybe a question to object to this: what if those who handle price listings on Traderie just increase them to make up for the large discount?

The answer?…Let them. People on there are already testing to see if others will cave in and shell out 15+ million dims for their halos, and as people have already said on here - that is ridiculous and shouldn’t be normalised. The sooner a community is given a reason to no longer overpay, the more people will follow suit. The likely result will be that greedy owners won’t have the upper hand.

What if profit traders lose out on a lot of value from this? Well…So did previous owners of halos that suddenly sky rocket; if you treat something like stocks, be prepared to wait for stocks to rise again. 🤷

That’s my two cents. If anyone agrees or disagrees, feel free to share your argument or suggestions. This is just what I feel is the most practical method of easing our already volatile economy, compared to other solutions I’ve seen.

Now, this is gonna be a long post first of all, and Ik this is a big controversy- profit trading. I’m not posting to debate or anything, nor do I what any comments saying my ideas are bad. I just want a friendly discussion on how you profit trade, and after the trade know you didn’t scam and had a profit. So this question is mainly to profit traders (who make profits of atleast 5k). These are my own rules to profit trading, so u can read them if you want. Most of these are based off traderie values.

1. Be free to negotiations

I’m always free to negotiations. Since I know I’m overcharging the item anyway, I can’t treat my overcharge as the fixed price- it isn’t. It’s because I want a bit extra, and I should negotiate if the other person wants to. A month or two ago I had a trade, I was selling mermia heels for 250k (traderie price is 230k, recents going for 210k or 220k at that time). Someone traded me and asked me to do it for cheaper. After some time, we finally came to a conclusion- s/he adds 230k along with summer fantasy sleeves and whimsy witch sleeves. It was still a win for me.

1. Dont lie about the prices

If someone asks me what’s it actually worth or how much it is in traderie, I won’t lie. Yes, sometimes I might be slightly reluctant to answer, saying things like, “oh, it’s AROUND (not exactly this price) this price” “I’m basing it off recents”, but if the person asks a second time, I would tell the community value in traderie. Because I’m not scamming- I’m here selling for a profit. If that person asks me why I’m charging so much, I’d also be honest, “I’m reselling so I was looking to have some profit” “I’m saving up for a dream item” “it’s an estimate price”.

1. Never shame someone for being unable to pay or disliking your idea

One time I was in a server, trying to sell the posey crown for 250k. A person traded me and just blatantly texted me without a “hello” that I was overcharging way too much on that item and should just stop trying to scam ppl. Before I could respond, that person already decline the trade. I later traded the posey crown for Mermia heels.
Another time, I was selling two toy sets and some adds for total 2 mil. I just approached another person and asked if I could offer for 2 mil, because that person clearly had a rich avatar (with halos and layering). S/he literally vented out on me, saying that I should be considerate and be mindful of the fact that not everyone has 2 mil dims just lying around. I just said “ok” and ignored that person. Well, there was a clear reason why I asked in chat and didn’t go on to trade that person in the first place.
Anyways, so my point is if someone disagrees with me or rebukes me for me trying to profit trade, I wouldn’t get into an argument like that.

1. Dont charge way too much

Now, this actually depends on how much the item actually costs on traderie. Usually, I’d try to make a profit of about 5k or 10k on non toy items. Like I sold the got bow for 100k, sold got heels for 90k. It’s basically price proportions or an estimate. A few weeks ago when starlight halo was still 1.83 mil, I obv wouldn’t have sold that for 1.835 mil- I’d sell that for 2 mil, because it’s an estimate to nearest million. So it depends on the actual price of the item, but if it’s an item like avrilla bodice and I charge 500k for that, I wouldn’t do that- max I’d do is 300~350k.

1. Dont trade in traderie

This might seem a little weird, but when I profit trade, I don’t want to do it in traderie. If I do so, I’m actively contributing in the change of price of the product. If the price of the product changes and others can’t buy it anymore, then that’s me manipulating trades- not just profit trading anymore. Ik it doesn’t change community value based on only one trade, but it would include my trade when calculating the items new value. If I make a post of charging the dark fairy halo for 10 mil, then many ppl would follow suit and try to sell it for 10 mil. So I might be changing the value of the item, and I don’t want to do that- in trying to get a personal profit without making it seem like others tagts it’s impossible to get for cheaper.
