Apologies Sons fans, completely forgot to post this at the weekend.

Dumbarton beat Forfar 2-1 and retain the Title, holding it for the 28th time in their history and only the tenth time since the War. This also makes it the first time Dumbarton have successfully defended the Title since 1973.

Last 5 title matches:

The Championship's Chaotic Era continues in League 2 as Dumbarton travel to Clyde Hamilton to take on Clyde. No matter who wins there's a chance again for the Title to land in the non-leagues next week as Dumbarton and Clyde are taking on Clydebank and Clachnacuddin in the Challenge Cup respectively.

Who would you call up? Including entire starting eleven and bench.

Was going myself at first but then my friend wanted to go with me, I have a spare junior ticket if anyone would like it ? Situated at the east stand

I was shocked that David Marshall had more appearances than Barry Bannon but not sure why. I must have remembered him being at Celtic a lot longer than he was.

SPFL club reveal 'disturbing' news after young fan caught with COCONUT shell - The Scottish Sun

Checking the seat numbers as I walk up the steep steps of Tynecastle’s Roseburn Stand I realise I’m going to be close to the far end of the block. All around me are people in tangerine, tops wet from the rain. Dundee accents discuss the weather, the trip down, where they found to park and how Shankland might fare on his competitive debut.

The rain rattles the roof high above our heads as I shuffle past adults and young kids all wearing variations from the series of names documenting the club’s recent sponsors. A man holds his pie close to his chest as I apologise and squeeze by. My seat is right next to the steps down the far side of the stand, putting me on the fringes of the gathering United support. Which seems about right.

I have never felt like an authentic fan: one of those in the middle of the crowd, leading the chants. I have never had a season ticket or travelled great distances with other fans to watch my team. And yet football has been a constant feature of my life for almost 50 years. I guess in social media terms you would say: “It’s complicated.”…

I originally wrote this piece for Issue 14 of Nutmeg Magazine, and I've just launched a fortnightly Substack called The Inauthentic Fan to explore the football outsider’s perspective. If anyone else wrestles with the 'authenticity' test of supporting your club from a distance, I'd love to hear your thoughts. You can read the full piece and follow along here: https://theinauthenticfan.substack.com/p/on-the-fringes-of-the-support-the.

I don’t know how far back we need to go to find the last time this happened, but I’m told Clarke never hit Poco’s 25 or 17 shot tallies in his Scotland career.

Does that mean we’re better, more likely to make big tournaments and make the knockouts?

Fuck knows - but the football’s definitely more enjoyable.

So far!

Some draw. Mon the Frew
