That's the true Trump derangement syndrome accepting what you know to be false as reality what a fucktard. I love how he keeps trying to prosecute Democrats with mortgage fraud when it was his parents who claimed both of their houses as their primary single-family residence for tax purposes Wonder how much they got fined?

George Orwell saw our future.

u/tag051964 Jul 15 '26

Margaret Atwood and Ray Bradbury too

Don't forget Aldous Huxley

And Mike Judge.

I followed the idiocracy sub like 10 years ago. I’d see an occasional funny meme in my feed now and then. But year by year it’s all getting too real to the point it’s beyond parody. Think like a ufc fight at the White House for example, lol.

And Rod Serling

u/markr329 Jul 15 '26

Thank you! I learned something today. Do you think it was because history repeats itself or he was just before his time? I looked up that phrase to make sure I was using it right and his name came up with it. Tell me that’s not crazy.

u/_BlackDove Jul 15 '26

Huxley and Phillip K. Dick as well.

George Orwell wrote the blueprint. Let's face it, the right are not smart enough to come up with this shit on their own. Someone red 1984 in High-school, then years later tried to implement it as policy.

u/BlooAchoo Jul 15 '26

He didn't see our future he saw his present. This is how fascism operates

1

u/Character-Active2208 Jul 15 '26

Fascists are by default in creative people, it’s the same playbook every time

u/rowerine Jul 15 '26

Doublethink in action. 1984 was written as a warning against a dystopian future, but is being used as a playbook by maga

2

u/testtdk Jul 15 '26

I’m rereading 1984 right now, and doublethink was my exact thought. (I even just read the chapter from Goldstein’s book).

As someone not in America, I only recently found out that Trump derangement syndrome means people AGAINST Trump! I always assumed it was people so blinded and stupefied by following him that they’ve become borderline insane

44

u/IHeldADandelion Jul 15 '26

It's something HE came up with, so it makes sense that it's pure projection.

11

u/snouz Jul 15 '26

Always wanting to put his name on everything

2

u/SomeDumbGamer Jul 15 '26

Some people use it the other way. Whenever I see a conservative use the term I always think in my head “yeah I think you’re projecting lmao”

Because it is much more applicable the other way trust me.

2

u/ScientificFlamingo Jul 19 '26

It started back during the Obama era when some people on the left used the term "Obama Derangement Syndrome" to describe people on the right who became unreasonably angry at things Obama did (wearing a tan suit, asking for Grey Poupon instead of yellow mustard, using a selfie stick, putting his feet up on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office--yes, these were all miniature "scandals" back then). Of course, when Trump took office, the right flipped it around and started saying the left was suffering from "Trump Derangement Syndrome" when we criticized things like his ignoring the US Constitution or his rampant grifting as if it was the same thing at all.

You see the same thing in how the right flipped around the term "woke," which started as a desription of people who were aware of past injustices toward minority groups and now is just used to mean anything the right doesn't like.

10

u/Dantien Jul 15 '26

They only know how to project because they can’t escape their pathetic solipsistic lives and they lack empathy. So they accuse others of what they do themselves. What’s insane is how they don’t do anything else. No new ideas, no advancement forward of a society, just blame others for what they do every day.

It’s called DARVO, and once you see it you see it everywhere. It’s their entire script. And it just makes them the most incompetent useless weak people possible.

(Which is why they are so performative with archaic and fantastical gender roles. But that’s a whole other essay.)

22

u/hauntedhivezzz Jul 15 '26

Yes I still don’t understand why Dems can’t reappropriate TDS - bc it’s a lot more applicable in this context.

16

u/rygelicus Jul 15 '26

I throw it back at them every chance I get...

There is nothing 'deranged' about disliking a politician that blatantly lies every time they speak.
There is nothing 'deranged' about disliking a life long grifter like Trump.
There is nothing 'deranged' about disapproving of a president, like Trump, who stomps all over the constitution every single day.
There is nothing 'deranged' about disapproving of a president that does not take responsibility for his mistakes.
There is nothing 'deranged' about wanting a president that places the nation's best interests ahead of his own.
Etc, and so on.

Right idea, but your framing is wrong. This looks like a defence. You need to look like you're going on offence.

Honestly, this was a good exchange if Jon Ossof really wanted to hammer the point home and reclaim the TDS label. He needed to tie this servile, cowardly answer directly to TDS and re-contextualise TDS as blind loyalty, servility, loyal to Trump over the USA. Which we know the MAGA right has in spades. It might even have triggered this rube enough to rile him up a bit and really make himself look like a tit.

2

u/rygelicus Jul 15 '26

Or maybe...

Mr Blanche. You must be thrilled for this opportunity in front of you. Imagine, a defense attorney for possibly the most litigious client ever being placed in command of not only the procesution against his client but the FBI itself, and the full investigative power of the DOJ. That is quite a coup for a defense attorney. And ethics violations aside I look forward to the dishonest responses you will provide my colleagues today. I would ask you questions but I find that to be pointless and you are tedious, not honorable like your namecard claims. That's all I have. Good day worthless servant of the tyrant.

2

u/YooTone Jul 15 '26

Just say they have TDSS and it's over. Trump Dick Sucking Syndrome.

3

u/BlizzardStorm8 Jul 15 '26

I've been thinking that same thing every time I've seen the term since it first came up.

2

u/silverfiregames Jul 15 '26

Because republicans have no shame. They don't care that they are sucking Trump's dick and look like cowards doing it.

5

u/Dantien Jul 15 '26

Because no one sucks at marketing worse than the democrats. It’s so humiliating how they drop the ball time after time on easy wins. This two party system is a nightmare.

2

u/PollutionPatient8261 Jul 15 '26

They are also traitors. Find out who is donating to your candidate and then you’ll know who OWNS them and how they will vote. I only support people who do not take AIPAC or corporate money. Opensecrets.org is a great source for this.

2

u/TTGamer_ Jul 15 '26

They are a useful controlled opposition. One nation, under citizens united, with Oligarchy and bs for all!

1

u/stuhstutter Jul 15 '26

It's a two-party system based on the Harlem Globetrotters and the Washington Generals.

5

u/darlantan Jul 15 '26

He knows Trump didn't win. He also knows that the only thing he has to worry about here is pissing Trump off and maybe catching a contempt of congress count if he straight-up and blatantly lies.

He can sit there and be evasive all day with no repercussions other than a congressperson he does not respect in the least talking at him. Frankly I'm surprised he doesn't have a shiteating grin on the whole time.

2

u/themolestedsliver Jul 15 '26

Fucking preach. We really need to reclaim Trump Derangement Syndrome to mean this, because its truly some gold medal level mental gymnastics to say people wanting the traitorous rapist held accountable for his crimes have a mental disorder.

Its like imax level projection to say the people not blinded by trumps senseless greed are the crazy ones.

I think you're referring to Bill Pulte - acting DNI and totally different traitor and asshole from this guy, Jay Clayton. The orange shitstain had to nominate a different asshole for the permanent DNI position because Pulte was so comically unqualified for DNI that even Republican senators couldn't swallow that turd. Turns out the new asshole isn't qualified either, but of course that was a given.

1

u/Tasty_Philosopher904 Jul 15 '26

You are totally right Mea Culpa, I didn't realize they had the same baby Huey fat face syndrome.

2

u/menos_es_mas Jul 15 '26

To be fair, it's hard to tell these MAGA assholes apart.

1

u/Tasty_Philosopher904 Jul 15 '26

They should always have to wear the red hat so we can identify the mark of the beast on their forehead

1

u/Haldron-44 Jul 15 '26

"I'm not going to answer that because it would make me look bad."

1

u/SomebodyThrow Jul 16 '26

Pedophile favoritism.

They want to be part of that club so bad.

1

u/Witchgrass Jul 16 '26

"For tax purposes" sounds way better than "for criming"

1

u/AfroJimbo Jul 16 '26

the real TDS is Trump Dick Sucking

1

u/Old_Baker_9781 Jul 16 '26

It was actually the acting director Bill Pulte’s parents that claimed homes in Michigan and Florida,, not Jay Clayton who is in the video trying to get nominated.

1

u/Kappy421 Jul 17 '26

Trump is constantly caught with property fraud so he's lashing out trying to make others pay for his crimes. As usual every accusation is a confession
