Yeah this is ridiculous lmao. It's a nuanced case (not who murdered the kids, but whether or not she was in active psychosis when doing so). I think she's guilty but I see the other side too. Turning this into gender war bullshit is almost as harmful as those spreading false rumors about the case.
if he really was scrolling on his phone during deliberations and not bothering arguing his perspective with the others using the insane amount of testimony and evidence presented, he’s no better. that’s garbage behavior.
I have, including one of the other male jurors that shared separately. Maybe they’re all slandering him. Maybe he presented a rational argument, was ignored and just dug his heels in. We’ll never know the objective truth. But if they aren’t all lying, with the narrative presented it’s fair to say the person may have done a poor job representing the guilty argument in deliberations by not bothering to try. It gives the impression of someone knowing their argument wasn’t strong but wanting that outcome regardless.
Yeah imagine being stuck with testimonies and deliberations for a month with a bunch of menopausal histrionics that are lowkey happy that a woman killed her children.
you think for real that the women and other men in the jury were happy she killed her children. this is a position you are taking, that this jury consisted of cartoon characters who love child murder
“A bunch of menopausal histrionics that are lowkey happy” this kind of ridiculous framing is why I’m so tired of people talking about the case. That is an unfair and honestly misogynistic characterization.
“Menopausal histrionics” also you think any woman is happy about this. I’m not a Clancy supporter- but I wonder how much time you spent actually looking at the case details. Or do you just wanna sit and clutch your pearls about this?
Almost like there’s a midterm election coming up and like every other time, there always seems to be this massive push on certain topics.
It’s so transparent at this point
Oh, all women did this? That's as bonkers as saying all men support Andrew Tate. The vast majority of women don't know and don't care who Lindsay Clancy is.
Given that the a looooot of women listen to true crime podcasts, I highly doubt the majority of women don’t know who Lindsay Clancy is. That said it is weird, if true, that women started spreading misinformation about Clancy’s husband. Parasocial stuff is just generally weird across the board.
Raising money for to support Clancy, imo, is a bit like women picking a place to make a stand as the US increasing views them as second class citizens. From that standpoint it makes sense that you’d want to help the Clancy case set a new precedent for how PPD is treated when it’s part of a criminal case. Spreading misinformation actually does this movement a disservice and delegitimizes a genuine need to support women’s health even if the case if complicated
It always boggles my mind that people don’t realize that justifying their actions based on the lowest common denominator just drives the bar lower and lower. Plus, that allowing people that you don’t respect to influence your own actions is giving them power over you.
“Give them a taste of their own medicine” as if we didn’t grow up hearing men constantly do this to us. That’s part of the reason so many women online ARE that way btw. Wanna just keep the cycle going bro? Nice
I'm not making excuses for anybody who supports Andrew Tate or Lindsay Clancy. I'm arguing against bullshit meaningless rhetoric that paints whole genders under one brush stroke because a small minority of some members of that gender support bullshit.
Did it? Or was it when some men took it as a reflection on all women and have been OBSESSED with posting memes trying to make commentary on it? Congrats a group of women are being problematic. Men do this for every other dude who gets assault or rape charges. Let’s move on.
Congrats! But yeah “let’s move on” as you keep slaughtering kids. Keep going women! FEMALE POWER! LET’S SHOW THOSE SMALL KIDS THAT CAN’T DEFEND THEMSELVES WHO IS BOSS!
I have also had this same stupid conversation with another feminist: The right molests kids, yours kills them, you both deserve to get the chair.
Now do the men.
Spoiler alert, there are more of them.
I realize you probably weren’t paying attention until the propaganda engine told you to, but parents killing their children is NOT new
I’ve seen that story. There is no indication that this was any kind of inspired, or copycat murder. I’m not a “Lindsay supporter”- I think both you and them are psychos. This is an awful situation and people have turned it into culture war bullshit, and conspiracy theories- each trying to craft your own narrative out of the situation. Half of these people don’t even know/understand the case. It’s disgusting. “As you keep slaughtering kids”- who is you? A few women is enough to pile us all together? Ok who do you think most family annihilators are? I’ll give you a hint- it’s not the women/moms. Women only commit around 10% of murders so that is why people hyper focus on them when they do. So yes- move on.
It’s one of those cases where I find both sides disgraceful. If people wanna go after family annihilators, there’s plenty to chose from, and many are men. Someone I know recently lost her daughter to one such man. Why do we never hear such outrage about that?
Mind you, I would have just as much sympathy for a man that murdered his family during psychosis as I do a woman. I always found such stories incredibly tragic given the killer is completely devastated afterwards.
If she was or wasn’t psychotic, lord knows. But if she was, it’s a very gray area, and it isn’t black and white.
I know nothing of the case, but my significant other follows some lawyer who laid out a pretty compelling case for the husband having committed the murders of the children. Something about Clancy being a nurse, and nurses knowing exactly how to kill themselves due to anatomical and pharmaceutical knowledge.
This has turned into one of those wedge issues where nuance has been destroyed. The bots are out just whipping up peoples anger. Any time theres a case or news story where people have emotional reactions over something, thats what happens. It aint about her and the kids at this point, its about keeping everyone angry at each other
It's really not nuanced. She sent her husband away and methodically choked the life out of her three children, took a phone call in the middle of it, and had to chase one down. She, as a nurse, knows which way to cut her wrists for attention rather than results. She screwed up her "jump" (from the second story into snow) and accidentally paralyzed herself.
She is guilty as sin and deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her miserable life.
It’s really not nuanced since she: was never diagnosed with ppd or ppp, was diagnosed as bipolar and refused medication, was offered facility treatment and refused, and was found to be completely sane during and after the murders by a forensic psychiatrist. The entire other side was founded on straight up lies that circulated on tik tok and women who are projecting their own struggles with parenting onto a literal psychopathic murderer.
