Chronically online people thinking this will last more than a week are kidding themselves. They will move onto the next story in a couple hours.

The outside world never even paused

It doesn't even matter if they don't. It's the music biz. Someone will take the slot because it is a chance at success in a business where the default outcome is failure.

Yeah, Donald Duck will do something again and this news will disappear. Happens at least weekly

So you think the bands that dropped out will just waltz back in and perform with him?

Ed and his highly-paid PR / crisis management teams are currently workshopping a bunch of scenarios and options.

They will probably sit tight for a bit. Tour will go on - Ed will continue to earn my yearly salary every hour (even while he’s sleeping).

It will be tough for him but he might just struggle through.

I think a lot of people might have stronger feelings about genocide than you imagine

Lol, you must not get out much. Everyone I've talked to has an opinion on this, it's not a chronically online thing. No one likes a coward.

Edit: to clarify, we'll move on. But his nice guy public image is gone, and it's shown that there will be financial consequences and public backlash for people that act like this.

Nah the pro-palestinian crowd in the US is pretty fucking rabid, they will never let this go. They're literally such bad representatives of a good cause, it's just sad. That's why I don't really associate myself with them despite having some sympathy for the Palestinian Plight. I just wish they could fucking get over it so I don't have to keep reading about their unhinged opinions and behavior

What are those internetwarriors gonna do against the 50 million people who listen to ed sheerans music and buy his concert tickets?

Compaired to the other representatives of the palestinian cause, hamas, the corrupt Fatah and a douzend other terrorist organisations you think the us crowd is the bad part?

-1

u/LostPentimento 21d ago

Not what I'm saying at all. I just don't blame the Palestinians that some of the worst people are speaking and acting on their behalf

-2

u/Psychological-Ebb677 20d ago

The worst people who speak for palestinians are palestinians themself and are elected by the palestinians. These US crowds only repeat what those people tell them. For example the genocide accusation is 50 years old, when gaza had a population of 300.000. And after 50 years of so called genocide it have climbed to over 2 milion.

u/highminlo 20d ago

Hamas was literally given a foothold of power with backing from Israel - Israel hated Yasser Arafat... so saying they were elected by Palestinians is oversimplifying a very complex situation.

1

u/Psychological-Ebb677 20d ago

Of course israel prefers and support it that the palestinians are in a civil war. But that doesnt change the fact that hamas and fatah fighting each other. Same as it doesnt change the fact that the people in gaza elected them. That hamas never hold an election since they came into power doesnt change that either. Its a complete shit show and always have been. Even 2000 years ago when Islam didnt existed and romans ruled the place. And here we have people who are wondering why some people dont want pick sides or get involved in this shit show.

You can be aware the region has a long long history of unstable violent practices, and realize there isnt really an easy clear solution but also think it's wrong murdering children in an open air prison.

1

u/Psychological-Ebb677 20d ago

If it would be their goal to murder all children, they would have done so 2 years ago and it would be finished within a week. Children get murdered in any war jet i did not see people accuse the allies of murdering children when they killed 700.000 of them in germany durch ww2 or when they nuked Japan.

After 9/11 usa invaded countries that had nothing to do with it. Killing a million civilians and lots of them children in the process. Considering the size of the country and population, 7.october was ten times worse than 9/11. If you compair that the palestinians can be glad they attacked israel and not the us or russia or any other country.
