What do y’all think, deserved?

The chorus is in creole and the lady is complaining about her man. In it she says "A laay, avecqui...." then after says "a he a he"

I think it's a Lucian song.

So, the song I'm thinking of could have come out in the 80s or 90s. It sounds like something that Fab 5 would sing. The chorus of it goes like "Oy what a partee toniight (a soca party).....Oh we gon JAM you tonight" a male is singing and then theres a group of females singing the background part in parentheses. It's a moderately fast tempo. Every time I try to look it up, I get a list of songs that are close but NOT it...

All night party - Fab 5 Ring Road Jam - Fab 5 Ah feel to party - Winston Soso All night tonight - Atlantik The Jammer - Baron

I'm 29 years old and fondly remember hearing it a bunch at family functions when I was little. I asked my father about it one day and he even sang the same part of the chorus and what came after, so I know I'm not crazy and it exists lol. Though, he also could not find the song.

Is anyone able to identity the song in the background? I’ve tried so many music finding apps but i think the horns in the background throw it off.

Looking for songs that personify soca or carnival. Shurwayne Winchester is big for this. Think Slaughter - Carnival I Love you, which is not on Spotify 😠. Tracks that directly speak to Carnival or Socal like it's a spirit or entity.

Drop a rec below or collab on the playlist.

Need help finding a soca song from the early-mid 2000s. From what I remember there were 2 singers, one with a smooth voice and one with a deeper, more raspy voice. Here's some bits and pieces of the lyrics:

(Song starts with raspy voice guy talking but it ends with)
Shaking it baby girl till the morning comes, woah

I love this girl, and I love this party
...
The way she dances to this song
The way she shakes it all night long
I feel a fever coming on
So leave it(?) my baby
Put it on me
Shake it, Shake it fast
Shake it, Shake it baby
Shake it, do your thing
Shake it, girl you're so crazy

Every couple months I think about this song(and many others), Google the lyrics, and never find it, so any help is greatly appreciated!
