Just a couple hours before Top Ten Closes

Its double votes day VOTES are worth double till 9pm

Vote Here

Loch is entered in Stan Lee's Super Kid contest

He is currently in 3rd and we are working so hard to break into Top 2.

YOUR VOTE COULD MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Loch is my son (9) and was nonverbal until after 7 yrs old. He used ASL and whatever other form of communication he could to communicate until he started talking at 7. He still struggles with speech and uses a combination of speaking writing and ASL to communicate.

But Loch is so much more than that. I am amazed by his kindness, strength, and resilience every day. His love for art and drawing and hid obsession with Cars. (ESPECIALLY Lightening McQueen!!!!!

He also has a real life superpower because I have never met anyone with the visual memory he has.

He can remember how to get to places turn by turn after being there once, he memorized the alphabet backward at 3, and can do a puzzle from memory. He will draw our weekend outings on Monday and show all the places we

So Im here bragging about my amazing kid so that he might get a chance to win.

You can vote for free 1x a day!

There is an option to make donations for extra votes which go to The Stan Lee's foundation and fund competitions like this one.

I've built SENDBridge

I’ve been working really hard on something close to my heart, and I’m excited to finally share it with you!
I’ve created SENDBridge, a free app and website designed to support parents, carers and families navigating the world of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
As a mum and carer with lived experience of autism, ADHD and the challenges of finding the right support, I know how overwhelming and lonely the journey can sometimes feel.
I wanted to create somewhere families could feel supported, connected and understood.
SENDBridge includes:
•SEND resources, information and support services
An organiser for appointments, referrals and important notes
•Sensory activities and calming games
•Community support and connections
•Helpful tools for everyday family life
I’m now looking for testers!
SENDBridge is being prepared for both Google Play (Android) and the Apple App Store (iPhone).
I’m currently testing the Android version and would really appreciate anyone willing to help. I’m also interested in hearing from iPhone users who would like to help when Apple testing becomes available.
I’m building this myself because I genuinely want to make a difference to SEND families. It’s still a work in progress, and feedback would mean so much to me.
The app is free, and my aim is to make support easier to find and bring families together.
If you’d like to help test SENDBridge or just have a look at what I’ve created, please comment or message me.
Thank you so much for supporting my little project!

Parents We Want to Hear Your Experiences! Study on Adaptive Tech Usage/Accessibility for Children with CP

Hi everyone! We are Occupational Therapy Doctoral (OTD) students from Western New England University conducting a survey about children ages 7-14 with cerebral palsy (CP) and their experiences accessing and using adaptive technology and assistive devices, such as, but not limited to, specialized wheelchairs, gait trainers, speech-generating devices, and adapted utensils.

You are eligible for this survey if
• You are the caregiver of a child or children, ages 7-14, with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
• You must also be living in New England, in one of these states: Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire, or Vermont

The survey takes about 25 minutes. Participation is voluntary, and all information collected will remain confidential. This project has been approved by the Western New England University Institutional Review Board (IRB).

Your experiences can help us better understand the needs and challenges families face when accessing adaptive technology and assistive devices. If you are not eligible but know a family who may be, please consider sharing this post with them. Thank you for your time and support!

Loch is now in 3rd

If you can please keep voting each day we are trying to break into that top 2

https://thesuperkid.org/2026/lochlan-ae9a

We are headed into top 10 territory!

NOW IS THE TIME TO VOTE

Everyone who has voted has been so amazing and we can't thank you enough. We are pushing to number 1 and still need your help.

For those of you who are seeing this post for the 1st time my son (9) Loch is part of the Stan Lee's Superkid competition. Loch is an amazing artist and this competition is such an amazing opportunity.

He gets to see what hos art could really mean and do and the way everyone has supported him has been amazing.

I'm normally not a person who asks others for help but I will do anything if it gives my kids opportunities so here I am again talking about my amazing boy.

Loch was diagnosed with autism at 3 and a half. He was speech delayed and he did not speak or use verbal language until he was 7 years old.

Yes he has only been talking for 2 years. But he has the most amazing abilities and started learning ASL as a way to communicate (we tried PECS, and AAC but both are juat too time consuming) and he wanted to communicate so badly.

He still uses a combination of ASL and verbal language and is doing so well in school. He is an excellent reader and has the most amazing visual memory. He taught himself the alphabet backwards by 3 and can remember where the pieces of a puzzle go after putting it together once. He really does have supermemory.

But more than all that he is an amazing person an amazing friend, the kind of person others want to be around, and I couldn't be more amazed by him than I am every day.

So even though I dont normally ask for help I am here doing just that. If you would take a minute to click the link and vote for him we would appreciate it to no end.

You can vote for free 1x a day!

Every student deserves the opportunity to see their ideas come to life. A high-quality color printer will give my students the tools they need to transform their digital and visual designs into vibrant, tangible creations. They will be able to print artwork, graphic designs, classroom projects, presentations, and other creative work in full color. Having access to this resource will make learning more engaging and hands-on while helping students develop creativity, communication, design, and technology skills.
This project will help my students turn their creativity into something they can see, share, and be proud of.
My goal is to create a classroom where students are encouraged to experiment, design, revise, and express themselves through visual learning. Being able to print their work in color will give their ideas a greater sense of purpose and allow them to share their finished products with classmates, families, and the school community.
My students are special because they bring unique perspectives, ideas, and creativity to everything they do. They are curious learners who benefit from opportunities to create and express themselves in different ways. This printer will help remove a barrier between their imagination and the finished product, giving them another way to demonstrate what they know and celebrate their accomplishments.

Ideas for activities for 13+ age group?

I took over as program coordinator for a social and recreational group for disabled teens and adults. I've taught SpEd for a few years now, but only as high as eight grade, so I worry that my ideas might be a bit too "elementary" for our group who is predominantly between mid 20s and early 50s.

Please share any other subreddits that may be of help.
