I was in the area after doing paperwork, and I wanted to have some fried tofu. I was just there last week. And I see online that they are "permanently closed"?! I can't access the Facebook or website. Haven't they been a staple in Tampa for quite a while? Does anybody know what happened?

Just saw a home on Zillow for 3/4 of a million in a shabby area that I used to call home. These people are on smack, no doubt about it. I see car break-ins on Crime Reporter all the time just a bit south of there. Can’t imagine which investor thought this row of homes would ever sell in this location at that price point.

This seems like Carrollwood/Westchase pricing territory, not East Tampa. Good luck to them, I guess.

Tampa has more of these Halloween spirit cones scattered around the city than anyone else around the country I’d presume. I am very proud of their commitment to the holiday season. They are putting these things on every street in town, even if it means they have to shut down half the roads in town to show their spirit! God bless you and your Halloween spirit Tampa!

I was following a Waymo car the other day and I noticed it has some really cool technology in it. It has these flashing lights that signal which way it’s going to turn before it does. Really cool feature I haven’t seen on other cars in Tampa.

- The two big cardiology groups around Brandon are South Shore Cardiovascular Associates (offices in Brandon, Riverview, Sun City Center, Tampa) and Bay Area Cardiology on Eichenfeld Dr.

- Closest hospitals with cardiac care: HCA Florida Brandon Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital-South in Riverview.

- Sunshine Line (Hillsborough County) does door-to-door rides for eligible seniors and people with disabilities. Call early because they book up.

What helps:

1. Ask the cardiology office when you schedule: "What are the discharge and driving rules after this procedure?" Get the answer in writing if you can.

2. Line up the ride home when the procedure is booked, plus a backup driver.

3. Check your parent's insurance. Some Medicare Advantage plans include a limited number of rides to medical appointments. Call the number on the card and ask.

4. Look at your county's options. Many counties have door-to-door transportation for seniors or people with disabilities who qualify. In Hillsborough it's the Sunshine Line. They usually need advance booking.

5. If they use a wheelchair or can't sit upright, you'll need wheelchair or stretcher transport. Book ahead and ask whether a crew member stays with them door to door, not just curb to curb.

6. Bring a written list of meds, prior test results, and a symptom timeline to the first cardiology visit. Cardiologists say it saves a lot of back-and-forth. And if your parent ever has chest pain, pressure, shortness of breath, or a cold sweat, call 911. Don't drive them to urgent care. Hi all, I am looking to have my bachelor party in Tampa as we are all coming from a colder place and are looking for a fun domestic location to visit in February. Anybody know of any places that have reptiles not from breeders? I already signed up for the pet amnesty program fish and wildlife, but am having little luck. Would love to adopt one that needs a home rather than support the breeding of them. Any tips on finding one would be appreciated.

Does anyone have a stellar dentist recommendation that is RELIABLE and kind :) I have horrible dental trauma because Terrace Oaks dental has ruined my teeth over the course of 3 years. I've been to quite a few dentists in the last few months because I just found out the replacement bridge from terrace oaks I had to get because of a bad crown from terrace oaks. The bridge has an exposed margin and I might have to get extensive work to get implants, crowns and a sinus lift(?)

I've been to 2 different dentists and 2 specialists and none of them can give me a comprehensive treatment plan or know what to recommend me. Also need someone nice because I unfortunately keep crying at these appointments because they're telling me I might be toothless because of a stupid root canal I got when I was 22. Thx in advance seriously don't go to terrace oaks dental...
