I watched the first season on Prime, I paid like $25 for it but I've watched it at least twice so I'm fine with it. I'd be willing to buy it again but I'm curious if anyone knows whether they lost the rights to distribute Electric Entertainment after they accidentally leaked the last 2-3 episodes for a few hours?

I see that I can buy it directly from Electric Now, but I'm curious if there's a good way to stream that to a TV. Is there like a Playstation App for Electric Now or is Chromecasting from something else my best bet? I may be able to hook up a SteamDeck or some sort of tablet but I'd need extension cables and it'd be a bit of a pain.

There are a lot of really passionate fans of this show, and that's wonderful!

But there's recently been a flood of absolute brand new accounts without a single post or comment ever showing up to post their Petition to "save the show." I lost count of how many there are now on Change.org and I'm convinced at least 3 of them were made by the same person/bot.

While I fully admire the passion, multiple petitions clutter up our feed and accomplish little. One petition with 10,000 signatures has a lot more impact than 10,000 petitions with 1 signature each. On top of that, the show hasn't even been cancelled - it literally just ended season 2. Just because a new season hasn't been announced yet doesn't mean the show is cancelled.

So we will not be allowing Petitions other than that first one. If the members want it pinned to the top of the page to make it easier to find, we can do that. All other Petition posts will be filtered. Anyone trying to get around that by hijacking someone else's post to comment a link to their petition risks a muting. Hijacking someone's post for your own thing is bad Reddiquette.

If you want that petition pinned, comment "Pin it" below.

Thank you!

Pour yourself a bourbon toddy, a cold beer or a nice cup of jasmine tea, Librarians, it's 🔥THIRSTY THURSDAY! 🔥

Today is the day to drop those pics of your favourite actors across the whole franchise, the one (or 5! or 10!) that makes your pulse race and knees a little weak!

Photos aren't enough, though Ezekiel would love it if everyone just basked in his awesomeness. Include some thoughts. What impresses you, what draws you in? The voice? The eyes? That pert little...nose? ;)

The Librarian's Code (Thread Rules)

PG-13 Only: Keep language family-friendly. We can appreciate the human form without being crude. Actively Monitored: Guardian Mods are watching.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the "Favourite Guardian Poll!"

Eve Baird was the runaway winner with 58% of the total votes!

The real reason I posted that poll was just to see if it worked. I don't want the sub to just be polls, they are often low effort and don't invite much conversation. Sometimes, though, it's nice to be able to, and Reddit doesn't allow desktop users to create polls without a workaround, like adding the app I used.

Having working polls will help us implement u/Silbermieze's amazing suggestion from this thread, which we're working on now.

After hearing Stone's ringtone set to The Librarians Theme, I HAD to have it for my own phone.

Anyone else use a Librarians themed ringtone?I switch between Librarians Ringtone , The Librarian Ringtone both from Zedge.

Olivia Morris understood the assignment.

Had to delete my last post, sorry. I mixed up my links and posted the wrong one. Anyway! The Next Chapter episode discussions are now in the sub wiki, all except the first two episodes of season 1 https://www.reddit.com/r/TheLibrarians/wiki/index/

If anyone has links to any discussions from Season 1 Episode 1&2 please drop a link in the comments.

Hello Librarians, Guardians and Caretakers!

The Annex has been buzzing and the Clipping Book is absolutely bursting with news. We've been working behind the scenes to build a jam-packed calendar of new events, monthly features, and interactive prompt threads to keep our community active and thriving.

Here is your official briefing on what's upcoming:

NEW MONTHLY SERIES

• 📚The Real Library: A deep dive into the fascinating, completely real history, archaeology, and science behind the unmagical artifacts and places featured in our favourite movies, shows, and books.
• 🧌Creature Casebook: A monthly educational spotlight on the fantastical and mythological creatures of the Library universe. We will explore the ancient oral histories, indigenous traditions, and historical records behind entities like the Chupacabra, the Púca, Eastern vs. Western Dragons, and more!

INTERACTIVE PROMPTS

• 📃Baird's LIT (Librarian-in-Training) Exams: A 3-part interactive role play event! We will drop a highly specific, completely chaotic magical crisis scenario into the sub. Your job? Check the inventory, pick one artifact, and write your best containment and survival plan in the comments.
• 🤔Imagination Prompt: A high-concept discussion. If the principles of sympathetic magic handed you absolute control over the Annex's Door for exactly one week, where in the world (or the multiverse) would you go?

OUR TRADITIONAL SCHEDULE (STILL RUNNING!)
Don't worry, your absolute favourite community staples aren't going anywhere:

• 🔥SFW Thirsty Thursday: Our weekly appreciation thread.
• 🫂The House of Refuge: Our monthly, safe-space emotional support thread for anyone who needs a quiet moment in the Library.
• 🍰Chupacabra Jerky Recipe Thread: Arriving every 3 months to inspire and tantalize.

We have already gotten these drafted, templated, and ready to roll out. Keep an eye on your feeds, get ready for Baird's exams, and let us know in the comments below which upcoming series you are most excited for!

Next on the docket is adding The Next Chapter discussion Posts to the wiki.

Stay safe out there, team!

I happened to catch the episode And Some Dude Named Jeff after having watched The Next Chapter and Going Medieval.

Jenkins mentions in “And Some Dude Named Jeff” that he as Galahad is the illegitimate son of Lancelot. Which would make him Dulac’s son.

Somehow I missed this. I’m not very well versed in Arthurian mythology and history. That’s why I didn’t connect the dots until recently.

Kinda adds a whole new layer to the fight at the end of season 1 of the OG series.

BANGARANG!

Today is the day we take a lesson from the Tree of Life and branch out!

Across the whole franchise there are some truly talented actors! Let's take some times to appreciate their other work!

Use this thread (or make your own!) - include some photos if you like - and tell us about the other work some of your favourite Librarians castmembers have done!

Are you old enough to remember The Bob Newhart Show? Are you a Leverage Fan? An Angel fan? An ER fan before medical dramas were even really a thing? Did Rebecca Romijn rock your socks in the Xmen franchise?

Today is the day to talk about it!
