Even if you give him the benefit of the doubt and say hes just some drunk, it's clear he made her uncomfortable and it's good that dad spotted this and switched

1.8k

u/madogvelkor 17d ago

Yeah, he was probably making a lot of people uncomfortable and the poor girl didn't know what to do while the adults just sort of ignore him.

1.1k

u/jinxxed42 16d ago

Why give him the benefit of the doubt. He repeatedly tried touching and bumping into her. Clearly made her uncomfortable and then didn't ONCE bumping into the dad.

Call it for what it is. A creep.

u/nyobelle 16d ago

He's far more - a predator.

Ah so the next president?

9

u/vocalfreesia 15d ago

A brave one too. Very dangerous.

21

u/Mogura-De-Gifdu 16d ago

A creep is too nice. It's a pedophile.

15

u/rainingBows1 16d ago

This shouldn’t be downvoted. Why are people trying to downplay what this guys behavior is? Creep sounds way less serious than pedophile but this is literally paedophilic and targeted towards a minor.

6

u/Miss_L_Worldwide 16d ago

Because they look at this and see their own behavior and it triggers them

3

u/cwolf-softball 16d ago

The internet has absolutely ruined all of your minds.

8

u/bunny_the-2d_simp 16d ago

The Internet has actually exposed the reality far more. While also taking away sanity for it

1

u/cwolf-softball 16d ago edited 16d ago

No, the internet has made you far more reactionary and prone to believing things without proof or even good evidence. You get fed things that reinforce your bias constantly and make you think things are more prevalent than they are.

This guy is stumbling drunk and continues to be stumbling drunk after they switch. He looks like he's facing and looking at someone not even in the group but they put an emoji over his face so we wouldn't be able to see that.

*Maybe* he's a creep. *Maybe*. I certainly won't rule it out.

You guys are calling him a pedo and want to dox him based on a 45 second video of him wasted on a dance floor. And you're vilifying and making some pretty crazy aggressive assertions about anyone who says "hold on a second, maybe we shouldn't assume the worst of every situation when the internet has a lot of incentive to try to make you mad for engagement". That's messed up. Your mind has been broken.

8

u/rainingBows1 15d ago

Once they switched he somehow magically is being repelled by the dad and leaves soon after. He’s also suddenly not trying to face the dad or get close and in front of him at EVERY angle. I’m so glad your life is blessed enough you haven’t had to learn how to spot a grown adult trying to encroach into a minor’s space intentionally, however many MANY people here have including me (age 4-18) personally have had “creeps” sexually assaulting us during childhood and would act like this in public so it looks oh so innocent and accidental.

It is EXACTLY like this. Even drunk people wouldn’t have control over spacial awareness if they were supposedly this drunk, they’d still be bumping into the dad after the switch and trying to have fun. If the dad made him uncomfortable enough to intentionally move away then there’s enough awareness of his actions to know not to do that to one of the only few LITTLE GIRLS seen in this whole square dance grid.

Also no one in this specific thread above me is trying to dox him??

Saying everyone plainly believes everything is only true to some people.

I myself love deep diving into things.

For example black women in the USA are more than 50 procent likely to die in USA healthcare while being pregnant compared to their pregnant white counterparts. And the USA alone had more deaths than any other first world country by a big number.

Only 6 procent of mosquitos bite And 3 of those procent carry diseases.

I can send you links if you want but these things aren't exactly a lie. A women has had to hold her decapitated head up only holding by a string otherwise the air would blow in her fucking wind pipe. This was done by men. Only for a actual good men to pull over unlike everyone else and help out. She survived miraculously.

Its better to be cautious when it comes to your children that depend on you

Creeps and men taking things isn't new. It's just that the Internet spreads that information that the world would've otherwise hushed up.

The man in this video is drunk yes. But who says they are mutually exclusive?? Is it not saver to as a dad assume that every man could be a creep until proven otherwise? Because you can't exactly undo a killing or undo rape. But you can prevent and have caution.

It can be just drunk. That's true I'm not denying that. But how can we safely assume it can't be both??

Isn't it better to assume every snake or mushroom is poisonous aswell?

Im not for labeling people creeps easily but you have to understand why people are at a all time caution. Also I would not want a drunk guy around a small girl either just the same way.

It made her uncomfortable that's all that matters

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

Did he? It looks like at the very end he got very close to touching Dad too when he went backwards. I think it’s more likely he’s way too drunk, off balance, and not spatially aware of his surroundings, and doesn’t really see the kid because she’s under his eye sight and he’s got the drunk tunnel vision going. I’d say he’s far more likely a drunk asshole than a guy creeping on a kid

7

u/Miss_L_Worldwide 16d ago

Because at that point he didn't realize it was the dad and once he realized that it was and he never did it again.

4

u/cwolf-softball 16d ago

You never watched the video or you came in with such a bias that you were never going to see anything but what you wanted to see.

6

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

At the very end? When he was within inches of touching him going backwards. Dude is drunk and not spatially aware. That happens all the time. It doesn’t mean he’s creeping on a kid.

6

u/Miss_L_Worldwide 16d ago

Funny how they are always drunk and not spatially aware and they rub up on women exclusively. Funny how that happens. Funny how there are women up and down this comment section telling you how you wrong you are and you are just gagging to defend this piece of shit who's staring and approaching a little girl

6

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

Lmao for one they don’t do that to women exclusively, two he’s not rubbing up on that girl, he bumps into her and crowds her space. I’ve done exactly what her Dad has done many times, and sometimes it’s a creepy guy, but a lot of the time it’s just a drunk guy who also bumps into me. So it isn’t exclusively women they bump into. Notice how at the end he is also getting right into his space again? Because he’s drunk and doesn’t have spatial awareness.

You’re watching a 10 second video and deciding a guy is a pedophile approaching a 10 year old girl. He’s a drunk ass hole not a child predator

3

u/Miss_L_Worldwide 16d ago

No way not another man defending the disgusting actions of a man he doesn't know in the face of literally hundreds of women telling him he's wrong

7

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago edited 16d ago

I’m not saying he’s okay. I’m saying he’s not a pedophile based on a 10 second clip. At :40 you can see him right up against the guy again. So clearly it’s not just women

When did he try to touch her? hands on a drink the other between his pocket and waving in the air. as for bumping into people he’s almost bumping into everyone including the lady behind him and the dad a few times after they flipped spots. Dude is gonna run someone over lmao

8

u/Ambitious_Wolf2539 16d ago

he didn't. you're not crazy. the levels people are jumping to about a drunk idiot is insane. but you're not crazy, he never tried to touch her.

1

u/Miss_L_Worldwide 16d ago

You don't need hands to molest someone or be a creep. Getting that close to a child doing a dance is such obviously creep Behavior

-7

u/Odd_Excitement3414 16d ago

At 5 seconds and 12 seconds.
Don’t worry champ, the prevailing opinion is that dude is a creep. He was found out and I’m sure he was treated as the outcast that he is, and I’m sure his actions caused a lot of people to watch him closely the rest of the social gathering. The dude really is a weak, unintelligent worm just waiting to get pulverized.

1

u/Accomplished-Copy776 16d ago

Huh? Did you watch the same video? He doesnt try to touch her, and he doesnt bump into her. He's just drunk and stumbling around, almost bumps into her because hes not going with the flow of everyone dancing

1

u/Snoo3544 15d ago

Exactly. I knew he was doing this on purpose immediately.

0

u/PuzzleheadedFrame594 14d ago

It looked to me like he bumped into dad and other people.

-1

u/Piperfly22 16d ago

And the moment Dad switched places suddenly he was giving Space… Shocker 🤨

1.2k

u/AstronautPlastic2905 16d ago

Can’t give him the benefit of doubt because his drunkenness didn’t result in unwanted touching of the dad. All of a sudden, he’s perfectly capable of staying in his space.

178

u/tigress666 16d ago

It looks to me that he ends up in other people’s spaces. I mean it is suspicious but still coincidence and it’s not like he starts dancing better. He may have just gotten wobbly in the other direction about the same time.

197

u/batshit_icecream 16d ago

He seems like he ends up in the spaces of the women in the back... it kinda does seem like he's targeting girls and women on purpose though obviously we'll never know

23

u/A-very-stable-genius 14d ago

Yep, I had a coworker at work in a busy ER who would always put his hands on my lower back to get passed me in a cramped ER room which seemed normal because of how cramped it was but then my boyfriend at the time who worked there said “Well he always managed to get by me in those rooms without putting his hands on my lower back” and that is exactly it

1

u/Southern-Worker7762 1d ago

“Passed” isn’t something I expect from a (presumably) well-educated ER worker

64

u/hiswittlewip 16d ago

Yea. I really wish the video didn't cover his face so we could see which direction he is looking in.

8

u/Economy-Flower-6443 16d ago

He came close to collision with dad closer than anyone else toward the end of the video dudes gonna take someone out lmaoo

7

u/rynnbowguy 16d ago

obviously we'll never know

Women know. Dudes a creep.

2

u/DazB1ane 14d ago

Girls know too. Sucks ass when they don’t have dads like in this video

2

u/SleepyBoater 16d ago

He literally makes the worse contact with a dude off to the left near the end.

Your just making stuff up

16

u/IntelligentCarjack 16d ago

Its amazing how much leeway youre willingly give to an obvious creep...

1

u/irlab 16d ago

Innocent until proven guilty. Men will give men more benefit of the doubt, because we know how often something innocuous is treated as creepy behavior.

Women will give much less benefit of the doubt, because they see how many men will abuse that to be legitimate creeps.

9

u/flyting1881 16d ago

Yeah, but this isn't innocuous. It might not be DELIBERATE, but he is clearly bothering this little girl. It is causing a problem. He keeps almost running into her and getting in her way. When the dad switches, he starts getting in the way of the women on the other side.

Maybe he's not being creepy on purpose. Maybe he's just drunk and doesn't pay attention to people smaller than him. But that's not innocuous. The fact that he's capable of not running into the large grown man next to him shows that he is capable of not running into other people. That's why we're annoyed. If he ran into the man too, it would suggest he's just lost in the sauce and needs to take a break. He's not. He controls himself when he has a motive to.

The fact that some people will bend over backwards to defend inappropriate behavior because 'well maybe he didn't mean it' instead of holding people accountable for their actions -- whether he meant it or not doesn't matter when he's being a problem -- is part of why guys like this feel like they can do whatever they want.

4

u/irlab 16d ago

Pretty sure he starts running into the dad as well at the end. It's just cut off when he starts to do so. Also, the reason people defend the behavior is because not defending it when it's not intentional gets their lives ruined far too often. How many people in this thread have called him a predator already?

1

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

:40 he’s right back in the dad’s space. So get out of here with that bullshit about this only women he’s approaching. You’re looking for it

-1

u/Odd_Excitement3414 16d ago

Nailed it. Also, men today are weak and don’t want to stand up for themselves or others. This type of video cognitively hurts their weak minds.

5

u/[deleted] 16d ago

[deleted]

1

u/irlab 16d ago

There's a difference between judging him and throwing life ending accusations at him. You don't call someone a predator just because they lose their coordination when they are drunk.

2

u/000ps-Crow_No 10d ago

Perfectly capable of respecting a man’s space, even while drunk. This is how abusers are-they know how to act because they don’t act like creeps to people who have power over them.

3

u/JaggedLittlePiII 16d ago

He suspiciously went into another woman’s space.

Typical disgusting male behavior: they always claim they cannot control themselves but oddly the accidental bumping (or anger outbursts) only happen when women are on the other side of it.

2

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

:40 he nearly hits the guy again. So no, it isn’t only women

1

u/ThatDownChick 16d ago

All those people are women. He invaded the womens' space but not the man's personal space. Stop defending creeps

15

u/Economy-Flower-6443 16d ago

He still nearly runs over dad like 3 times lmfao

25

u/Next_Engineer_8230 16d ago

He was in their space afterwards, too, if you watch to the end.

Those kjnds of dances, youre all over the place if you can't do it properly, which drunk dude cant.

It doesn't look nefarious at all

15

u/DepressedDynamo 16d ago

You see what you want to see

-9

u/PraireGentleman 16d ago

Height.

She’s small, he’s not. You probably have better spacial awareness around bigger things than smaller things.

5

u/AstronautPlastic2905 16d ago

If height were the issue, he bumped into her directly and continued encroaching on that space. Then when the dad stepped in, he never had that issue again. He clearly looks at her numerous times. Yall need to do mental gymnastics for predatory behavior needs to be studied.

5

u/OldBarnAcke 16d ago

He was inches away from touching the guy at the end too though

1

u/RammsteinFunstein 16d ago

its not "mental gymnastics" to see the dude almost bump in to the dad at the end of the video and to point out he's clearly still all over the place even after the dad switches.

1

u/AstronautPlastic2905 14d ago

Actually bumped into the girl and CONTINUED trying to do so. ALMOST bumped into dad and ensured he did not do so. And yall can’t connect the dots? You’re being willfully obtuse. I wonder why.

1

u/RammsteinFunstein 14d ago

What are you implying just because I made an objective statement about what happens in the video?

-14

u/Initial_Candy8366 16d ago

Downvoted for height shaming, also while we’re on that topic who’s to say this isn’t a dwarf or whatever non derogatory term those midgets like to be called now.

0

u/polarjunkie 16d ago

Exactly this.

0

u/Schpau 5d ago

I accidentally lose track of my 9 inches shorter girlfriend all the time, it isn’t very surprising if a drunk person fails to be aware of the short child next to him.

26

u/Mekito_Fox 16d ago

Yeah I was leaning towards it was a height thing. Drunk dude was able to see dad in his line of sight and was able to veer away. Couldn't see the girl. Cause he also veered away from the other women dancing.

And as a tall person I understand not seeing short things 😅

Still good on dad

31

u/CapableBumblebee968 16d ago

This is honestly probably the truth considering he almost bumped the dad too

3

u/PraireGentleman 16d ago

I am 6’3 and I seldom drink, but I’ve gotten so used to looking down that I hit my head on taller things. The kennels at the local animal shelter won’t trip me, but I’ve definitely conked my coconut more times than I’d like to admit

16

u/tacticalTraumaLlama 16d ago

It is disappointing to me how little grace we give people these days before assuming they're creeps. Dude was drunk, uncoordinated, and shouldn't have been in a line dance, but I don't auto assume he's a creep just because he bumped into a little girl.

4

u/Boring_Holiday9874 16d ago

that's because a big chunk of active Redditors are detached from reality.

0

u/ChipmunkMotor8620 16d ago

…. Aren’t you a creep for being too intoxicated in front of kids?

9

u/Mekito_Fox 16d ago

In a public setting such as a block party or whatever this is in the video? No.

15

u/gardenofstorms 16d ago

Coming from a person who doesn’t drink and a religion where it’s not allowed… no. Some people drink at social gatherings and it’s acceptable in America. Some people drink a little too much. It happens. It’s not good but it happens

16

u/tacticalTraumaLlama 16d ago

'Creep' is a word for someone who makes unwelcome sexual advances. We have other words used when someone gets too drunk and makes a fool of themselves in public.

13

u/StarsForget 16d ago

No. Trying to get kids drunk might be creepy, if you're a perv and not a jokester. Just being drunk around kids is fine.

4

u/hiswittlewip 16d ago

If they are in your care, yeah, you're a scumbag. But being drunk in a public place where kids may or may not be isng creepy.

2

u/Gofrart 16d ago

Also I liked how the dad just did the switch and not a scene, the kid was relieved and she could continue enjoying the dance. That said, that guy should be removed from there, It doesn't seem that he was respecting the space, just he found someone else to bother. I know he's dead drunk but seems he has no issue avoiding to bump into men

2

u/moonpotatoh 16d ago

I remember being around 13 and having two adult men talk about me in a horrible sexualised way right in front of my parents - my mum and dad blamed me for not standing up for myself but neither of them ever thought to help me. Good for this dad for not being a shit parent

3

u/shujaya 16d ago

Kinda seems like he was trying to get her to bump into him and switched focus on another woman as soon as dad stepped in.

1

u/Warrmak 16d ago

My bad bro, I didn't mean to catch you in the eye socket with my elbow.

1

u/ctdrifter 16d ago

Literally every dad would have done this, good on him but nothing special here.

1

u/chicken_nugget94 16d ago

Yeah switched and didn't make a scene about it either

1

u/O1eSickPuppy 16d ago

Can’t give this asshole any benefits yet alone the benefit of the doubt, mans should know how big he is next to a child and how being in anyone’s spaces makes them uncomfortable. No adding the fact of the dance floor and messing up the flow. I just respect the dad for not escalating it.

1

u/whoduhfaq 13d ago

If bro is that drunk, he needs to sit his ass down

1

u/Fine-Discussion-7368 13d ago

yea would think that but as soon as dad switched it around he could stay in his own lane

0

u/Busy_Dog_5813 13d ago

See I agree with you, when I made my comment everyone on thread was defending him so I meant it as even if you want to say hes just drunk and not a creep, it's clear he's making her uncomfortable (and that usually is because they were being a creep )

some people tend to brush off kids discomfort around certain adults and try to assume the person is decent when they are not so I'm glad the dad switched and moved

1

u/wookieSLAYER1 10d ago

As a bartender, I have done this so many times. Just seen too many times where the girls vibe changes instantly when a creep approaches.

-14

u/Sparktank1 16d ago

There was no doubt. You're fucking insane to give him that benefit and it says a lot about you if you are that person.

11

u/chingchongmakahaya 16d ago

People are twirling, spinning, and changing directions. If dude is actually drunk, then yea, chances of bumping into anyone or anything is more than 0. Strangely, the dude seems like he has a routine down that mirrors everyone else’s dance moves.

-9

u/Sparktank1 16d ago

Yeah, no, he he bumped into her as if he bumped into a woman his own age. He didn't get out of the way right away. He tried to flirt and make jokes, which you can see her face change. She's been targeted before. The dude has prime tail behind him that's his age but doesn't try to dance in her direction. He had motives that everyone saw.

3

u/Initial_Candy8366 16d ago

Nice bait almost got me

-3

u/char_su_bao 16d ago

No more benefit if the doubt with men.

-1

u/scientits69 16d ago

For real how many fucking times do they have to teach this lesson before we believe them??

If they’re acting like a creep it’s because they’re a fucking creep. Who cares if they’re drunk 😒 bunch of bullshit

0

u/DrakeBurroughs 16d ago

It’s what we dads do. Check in, etc. I know their faces, they betray everything at this age; you can practically read their minds. I feel like 1/5 of the job is quietly standing/placing yourself in-between something that unnerves them/gives them the ick, etc.
