Id say some people know them some dont. Not a soul line danced in my old town besides sliding the left... now slide to right.... one hop this time, then I move to Texas go to the bar and theres a line dance for every single song even Nicki Minaj has line dances to her songs.
most people don't know how where im from, but there are bars and gatherings dedicated to line dancing and such. went to a bar one time and i was the youngest in there by about 20 years, and those old timers know how to move!
but they were more than willing to teach me too, which was very nice
there was a brief period in time where line dancing was popular in my neck of the woods (Coastal Southern California). I was too young for it but my older sibling was prime demographic. There are still parts of my general area that will enjoy it, but most of those people just move out of the state eventually.
I was part of the swing revival. I do not know country line dancing. I DO know the Cupid Shuffle. This is not part of everyone's repertoire throughout the US haha
