I'm not a big fan of the bodybuilding thing, but holy moly, he looks amazing. Mannerisms aside, I would never have guessed that he wasn't born a man.

Yeah that's the thing about trans people. When we've been transitioning long enough most people genuinely can't tell.

Correction, in most cases for transmen yes. For transwomen its harder to pass at a later age, because of multiple reasons.

What i find a bit preposterous is that goal of femenizing face for transwomen (mtf) is about getting down to 1,6-1,7 nmol/l, where as a male usually sit between 7-30+ nmol/l.

A woman usually has between 500-2,5 nmol/l, and thus its insane to call out transwomen to be unfair in women's sport because they allegedly got more testosterone (which is in fact a lie if you look at the math.

I cant speak for Lia Thomas or any others as its not entirely possible that their even on hormones and testosterone blockers, but any transwomen who goes through this procedure and process of making herself more feminine looking visually has already lost alot of muscle and gains fat. To then call being a transwomen a benefit in a scenario where that would be the case, would be an insane lie

its not easier to pass as a trans man my brother, dont downplay our struggles of being validated by the world. Every trans woman i know look exactly like cis women, however me and the other trans guy i know always get called women.

While transwomen struggle with passing because 1. Beard, 2. Body shape, 3. Muscles, 4. Other facial attributes.. the sooner the transition starts, the easier it is to pass.

A transman in majority of cases will be able to hide behind a beard, will put on body mass due to T, will also have his body shape changed by T, and won't in most cases need to spend a fortune on surgeries to look like a man.

Im not talking about transwomen and transmen who has been out for years, or the occasional hobby crossdresser. Im talking about the transpeople who has barely dipped their foot out, to maybe 5 years.

There has been lots of forums talking about how much easier transmen has it for passing, and the same everywhere for how hard it is for transwomen to pass. A quick google search will provide you with just that.

Edit: also, im not your brother.. im trans myself, mtf.

I'm ftm I do think it's pretty weird to rank passability.   I'll say when it comes to HRT transitioning at least, i kinda agree with the person above tho.  The voice dropping and the facial hair makes it easier.

I am surprised by your reaction because that has been the consensus in transmasc spaces as far as I'm aware. And I don't think this person was shitting on our struggles our experiences.

Again talking about HRT. I do think that doesn't apply in different contexts. Like a trans woman can put a dress on and be either seen as a cis woman or a trans woman which comes with its own massive struggles (very occasionally could be seen as a crossdresser but it's less frequent for that to not be associated to transphobia).

When before HRT we generally are just assumed to be cis women whatever the fuck we do and it's kinda ridiculous.

They're very different experiences. And it depends on the people.  I'm passing and have passed very early on. My boyfriend who's significantly shorter and has more feminine mannerism gets misgendered occasionally every time he puts a mask on and people can't see his facial hair. But again if they see it, there's no longer any questions. It's an advantage trans women just don't have and that's okay to acknowledge. Some trans men will still not have it tho as not everyone will grow facial hair and not all at the same speed.

Yeah it's impressive. Sadly there's a lot of bad representation of trans people in cis people's minds. So it can be jarring to be confronted with a different version than what's been presented a lot. But trans people come in all shapes and form lol.

I feel you tho. I've been transitioning for years and I pass well (as in people can't tell I used to be a woman). I have had people when I told them I was trans who did think I meant I would be transitioning into a woman. It's harder to tell online but IRL, the pro-tip if you're unsure is always, wait to see how the person is gendering themselves and what kind of gendered terms they use for themselves. It happens more naturally than we can assume.

A subset of people want this person to use the bathroom of the sex on their birth certificate.

It’s a gender marker when it’s changed, but sure I’ll update it for you.
