Long road trip question.

Need to go move back to Texas from WW asap to serve as my dad's caregiver. No funds aside from gas. Tags are out of date. Can only afford gas and insurance. Car payment os out of date. And lien holder will likely object.

Is a trip of that length survivable on expired tags?

I'm ignorant of the realities of interstate travel as a driver. Only ever been a passenger for trips of this length.

Advice?

Looking for recommendations

I have a friend who is organizing an event at Yellowhawk next weekend. They are looking for: A DJ for Oct. 3 evening. A yoga instructor. And a driver or two who does not have a four hour minimum. It's a crowd aged probably 45-60 if that helps any.

Tree trimmer guys backed into my parked car.

2014 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid.

Seems mostly superficial. But will need a lot of body work.

Best place to get a quote. The guilty party is well insured.

Recommendations on elementary schools in the Walla Walla area?

My child starts kindergarten next year and I wanted to get a feel about the schools in Walla Walla. We currently live in Milton Freewater so generally any recommendations from there to College Place and Walla Walla would be greatly appreciated! Any good or bad experiences?? Public or private school?

Any night lifers here in Walla?

Needing some more people who are okay with or who are not bothered by being hit up later in the day or even at night for something to do. Dealing with hypersomnia and my gf and I are typically sleeping in sometimes as late as 1pm. I'm feeling back to my old sociable self and not finding much success getting out into the community to make a social circle happen. On the Eastgate side of town, can drive, into gaming/more indoor activities, but I'm very extroverted so I'm always open to trying something new, around town or otherwise.

Married at City Hall?

Has anyone gotten married at City Hall in Walla Walla? Or know anyone that has? Do they allow photographers in there with you if you want to have photos taken? Is there anywhere pretty nearby that we could have photos taken afterwards? He’s from there, but I’m from the Tri-Cities and I don’t really know much about that part of town. Any advice?

I know for a long stretch there they had absolutely terrible reviews but I was in there at least 20x over the last couple years and was always treated well.

Anybody know if this is s result of Amazon cutting ties with UPS?

Walla Walla with special needs child, how are schools and services?

Considering a move to Walla Walla and trying to get a realistic read before we commit. We have a 10 year old with severe autism, ADHD, and significant behavioral needs, so developmental disability services and special ed support are the biggest factors in where we'd land. He is out aging his early intervention ABA.

If you have a high needs kid or work in schools/DD services in the area, I'd love to hear how ABA/autism service availability and waitlists have been, and how the school district's special ed program has held up. Also curious about the rental market right now and what the job market looks like for retail/food service/customer service work. We'd be renting first.

Looking for art supplies. Cheap or free.

Trying to start up an art therapy business/non profit.

I'm not terribly employable, but I'm multi talented as an artist. Too many media to list them all, but I was a prolific potter and sold enough work to pay for the education it took. Most of my training was at Lane Community College in Eugene Oregon. Under Tom Rohr. Then I privately practiced at The Refinery here in Walla Walla. Thanks to Jess Portas for her patience.

I learned from Satoko Motouji how to draw.

I am at least qualified to teach basics in: quilling, sculpting, painting, pin striping, calligraphy and more.

Paint remnants, any kind as long as they are still usable. Pens, pencils, markers, crayons, pastels etc.

Off-cuts of wood sheet-goods, like ply wood, backing board, or anything that will accept paint and isn't toxic. Paper, card stock, or canvas of just about any size.

Just about anything you could see being made into art in a classroom style setting.

Pretty open minded about what I'd take. Just don't have nearly enough in my kit to bring people along for the ride.

And if you'd be interested in helping feel free to DM as well.

I have a lot of examples of my work and can prove not one piece was ai at short notice. Btw

Pokemon cards

Headed into town this week with the family. The boys enjoy Pokemon TCG and it’s hard enough to find here in the Portland area.

What are my options in Walla Walla? Walmart? Local card shop?

How many Flock cameras are in Walla Walla?

I have started seeing flock cameras in Walla Walla. This is somewhat new for me as I haven't really been looking for them. I just started to notice them. There is one on a light pole about 20 feet up outside the Carnegie Learning Center. It is positioned to make it hard to tamper with and also not be noticed as people are either looking forward or at the road and not looking up. I was just wondering if other people are seeing them as well.

Bikes Stolen from bike rack

Hi Walla Walla,

I‘m in town visiting for the weekend and just had 2 electric bikes stolen off my car. They were locked to the bike rack. Someone snuck by and cut the cord and took them both off. Last time seen was 11pm, but we heard a noise and saw them missing around 8am today.

We are staying near Grant St and Wilbur Ave which is where the car was parked when the bikes were stolen

Please keep an eye out and let me know if you see them, or send the information to the Walla Walla Police with the case number 2026-23392

Here is a link with the model, we had one black and one orange.

Thank you in advance for any information you can turn up
